<img src="http://www.nsanedown.com/images/logos/IDM.png" class="logo" alt="IDM" title="IDM" />Internet Download Manager (IDM) is a tool to increase download speeds, resume and schedule downloads. Comprehensive error recovery and resume capability will restart broken or interrupted downloads due to lost connections, network problems, computer shutdowns, or unexpected power outages. Simple graphic user interface makes IDM user friendly and easy to use. Internet Download Manager has a smart download logic accelerator that features intelligent dynamic file segmentation and safe multipart downloading technology to accelerate your downloads. Unlike other download managers and accelerators Internet Download Manager segments downloaded files dynamically during download process and reuses available connections without additional connect and login stages to achieve best acceleration performance.

You need a restart after installation. Then apply the patch. ;)

Yes I've faced this problem before. Was solved after restart and then fixing it. :)

Same error? If yes, uninstall and re-install IDM. If no, re-fix it.

EDIT: Hmm. That's odd. I'm not using the lastest beta to test it myself. The problem was solved restarting in previous versions.

Dotnetnightmare

Total Uninstall removed all traces of 6.0.1. 6.0.2 installed as trial and works as normal right up until applying the patch.

Well, i am tired now. I am about my special prob of accessing www.internetdownloadmanager.com ?

I tried reinstalling Win7, reinstalling WinXP SP3 i have on disc, nothing helped. I tried to solve the problem through restart of my FritzBox (my router) it simply does not work.

Clean install of 7 (without anything) and launch the site: not working.

Clean install of XP: the same.

Reinitializing of router: the same.

On my cell phone i launched the site quickly.

www.internetdownloadmanager.com/news or www.internetdownloadmanager.com/download causes 404 error.

even tried the thing with http, so http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com, not working.

what will help is a linux disc to test, if i can launch it from linux.

the site i can launch is here:

Well. the problem seem to be solved. I tried the last option i had.

It is related to my router. My FritzBox i had from my ISP had not enough LAN ports, so i bough a switch. Now i disconnected it and pulled my LAN from PC back to Fritzbox. If my PC is connected to router directly and not via switch, it seems to work. ?????

edit: there is nothing with that switch. I removed all settings from FritzBox and reset it to default. Now it works.
