I havent used that software personally in years, so beyond the foloowing tip, you migth want to ask in their forums

Try looking for an entry for lcoalhsot, and then look try the LanOnly or EnableAll button

You can get into a lot fo trouble with that program if youre not careful, uts overly complex for the average user.

Binisoft Windows Firewall Control is free (used to paid), and id argue better for the average user

In general though, with firewall issues....

First try resetting the windows firewall to defaults:

https://www.digitalcitizen.life/restore-windows-firewall-defaults

That doesnt work, uninstall Windows 10 Firewall Control and then try the above steps in the link

That is the same software, Malwarebytes purchased the Binisoft WFC. It is still free.

Using a better firewall is worth thinking about IMO. Glasswire is meant to be pretty good so might be worth looking at. There is no working patches/cracks etc for the latest versions.

Your OP said "Windows 10 Firewall Control", thats an entirely different program, made by sphinx software, and thats what my post was assuming.....that thing is overly complex for most people, and as such causes issues

Glasswire is more about traffic monitoring and graphing than firewall, so its firewall is very simple, almost primitive. I wouldnt swap Binisoft/Malwarebytes WFC for it.

Sphfinx software, Windows 10 Firewall Control:

Free version does not block/control anything located in c:\windows\ folder...

It is better to install Binisoft Windows Firewall Control, with it it is easier later to restore the default values in the firewall.

to enable localhost systemwide

select system tehn change its ZONE to localsystem

also for windows explore(explorer.exe) to explorerzone

here i assume you are using inbuilt default ZONES

Spoiler

if localsystem already selected then check your rules using applied zones(f3)

check ZONES TAB

to enable/allow localhost for any particular application or exe

teamviewer example

i prefer to create custom ZONE for each application instead of using default zones

It's not a bad idea to have LocalHost blocked though some programs can have a slow startup and other programs can malfunction if they cannot access LocalHost.

Just for such affected programs one could edit the existing filters in the Zone to add new (Allow) LocalHost rules or better still create a complete set of new custom Filters on a per-app basis, for finer granularity.
