The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is the latest smartphone to grace the company’s flagship line, and was introduced earlier this evening in China on 11 August 2020. The new device packs a slew of major upgrades over its regular and Pro sibling that saw a Malaysian launch back in April this year.

The Mi 10 Ultra features a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with 10-bit colour output, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. On its top left corner is a single punch-hole cutout that houses a 20MP selfie shooter and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Under its hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. Ensuring that the device is running at an ideal temperature, the Mi 10 Ultra is equipped with Xiaomi’s LiquidCool 2.0 vapour chamber along with a six stacked graphite layer.

Powering the phone is a 4,500mAh graphene-based lithium-ion battery which supports Xiaomi’s impressive 120W Mi Turbo Charge technology. The company claims that it can top-up the Mi 10 Ultra’s battery in just 20 minutes. Alternatively, it can also support up to 50W via wireless charging which can fully charge the device in 40 minutes.

Moving on to its cameras, the Ultra features a quad-shooter setup consisting of dual 48MP main and telephoto sensors, a 20MP ultra-wide, and a 12MP portrait lens. The main highlight of the four is its 48MP telephoto which is capable of 5x optical zoom, and up to 120x hybrid zoom. Video-wise, the phone’s camera setup is capable of recording up to 8K resolution.

In terms of pricing, the 8GB/256GB version will retail at CNY5,599 (~RM3,382), 12GB/256GB at CNY5,999 (~RM3,624), and 16GB/512GB at CNY6,999 (~RM4,228).
