That key gen is no longer any good. They all say trial has expired.

Hi uffbros,
in PORTABLE-v i have deleted the line ID2=***** in Settings.ini and the program
works with the previous serial...till now :-)

Even when I go into the old portable it now shows expired and wants a key.....

Hi uffbros,

i´ve forgotten to say , that i deleted the whole Settings.ini in  C:\Users\*\AppData\Local\2BrightSparks\SyncBackPro\Settings.ini

before that action above (it was from an installed earlier-v i think).

Here's how I get around this serial thing each time it occurs,, "Win10"

It helps if you still have the previous version still  up and running, problem free, so you can prepare for this and every other update ahead of time.

 

1. Go to the registry,, retrieve and save this entry. You should always keep this aside for the future anyway...

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\2BrightSparks\SyncBackPro]
"SNU"="WHATEVER Serial You Have Here"
"SNU2"=""

 

2. Go to - C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\2BrightSparks\,, and rename the folder inside it - "SyncBackPro"  eg "SyncBackPro-BAK" or similar. Don't delete it though as it holds all existing settings and tasks/plans, so save it elsewhere.

3. Install or copy over NI (No Install) files (once again maybe you want to back up the existing install first - just in case). I used the NI (No Install) x64 release but I guess it's ok with all installs.

4. Make sure the reg info is now merged into the registry, hopefully so the new version will start already registered - so start it. It should also create a new folder (step 2) with minimum settings and other requirements to get going. Exit the app.

5. Once again rename that new folder to whatever and copy back over the saved folder and contents from step 2 above. It "Should" run as normal now,, well at least mine has on each occasion.

 

BIG secret - Keep settings backed up frequently so if it turns to custard, at least you still have them ready for action. This and many apps like it are so easy to revive when things go BANG...!!! in your face. All you have to do is follow a few little game plans... PREPARATION ahead of time...!!!

If this does not work, I'm afraid you're on your own...

I confirmed that the kg is working on a fresh Window 10, x64 system.
