franco46 Posted June 26, 2020 Share Posted June 26, 2020 In the last few months, I can't drop and paste a file/files to the winrar working area ; but, still okay to drop into the compressed file icon in windows explorer. I have uninstalled and re-installed the application twice with the registry clear of its trails. Though it is not a big deal, I am much grateful if anyone can help. I attempt to add a file to a winrar compressed file (BBC.rar, same symptom even to drop a text file) as a demonstration. The green circle indicates that it is not allowed. The reason why I open the compressed file before I drop other files to it is to ensure putting to the right place. There is another issue with winrar. It does not work anymore on "WD my cloud". But, I can open winrar files with 7-zip. I don't know whether the updates of windows 10 pro cause all these problems. My version is 1909. 18363.900.
