You should be happy if you can't install yet one more spyware in Your computer.

either it t doesn't like something that you already have installed

When installing a Kaspersky product, you may encounter an error caused by harmful software that is present on your computer. Such software can sometimes block installation of anti-virus programs.

or has a genuine virus

Try installing in Safe Mode.

You can't install in Safe mode, the services are not there to do so, you need to install http://www.corel.com/akdlm/6763/downloads/Discover_Center/Safe_Mode_Install_Services.zip which are the service files needed.

Is this a genuine ISO or something you've pulled from a torrent ?

Hi PG

Maybe you can try this

https://www.kaspersky.nl/downloads/thank-you/free-rescue-disk (this is the dutch link) So change the NL

Burn it to cd and start the pc from the CD/DVD (let it scan)

When it is clean (your pc) You know definitly it is not infected.

Otherwise it wil clean up your pc.

On second hand you can try to delete al other software from old kasperskys.

https://support.kaspersky.com/us/common/uninstall/1464

After that uninstall and try again

Good luck

JJ

Saying that Kaspersky is spyware is a statement that I think you should argue here.
Kaspersky has over 400 million users.
So, please explain to us how you came to this conclusion?

Everything is spyware except software that I like to use.

We can help better if share here , screen capture  of your kaspersky installation process ... please do these :

1- Download clean installation file from kaspersky website

2- Save it on desktop

3- Don't open any partition

4- After successful installation , update it and full scan

5- Restart ...

I would try another ISO and see what happens, could be your ISO is pre-baked with malware, system modifications, and this is why Kaspersky is tripping out.

Or a grab a GEN2 release.

Beat me to it. :)  Used them many times, no problems.

Sounds like the OP used an infected install. Best to start again with a known good release, like the Gen2/Generation2 ones.

I think chatman bro is right, but I can say one thing, I have personally used kaspersky and eset. But the application opening time after computer restart taken by eset and the scanning speed of eset is really great and fast as compared to kaspersky.

PS : Kindly correct me if I am wrong

Yes, it's off topic, and not about footprint.

This is about not being able to install on a vanilla install OS of Windows, however until OP provides, .iso source / hash, hardware spec, I'm using my wizards wand *cough*
