Where and how to buy legitimate numbers for verification?

It is no longer possible to verify LinkedIn, Facebook, and many other online social media services with numbers assigned by TextNow and/or TextFree services. Isn't there some place where you can buy legitimate phone numbers for registration and verification of the mentioned social media? Some of us forego the luxury of using mobile services (GSM/CMDA) due to how insecure they are. Mobile phones (without SIM cards) with WiFi + VPN + Tor or Firefox + Signal or WhatsApp (or other E2E encryption messenger) is relatively secure, but not the cell tower calls and/or SMS/MMS. I am not willing to pay monthly mobile service for such an insecure system, but I do need a phone number I can use to register my Facebook or similar accounts.
