Strange Windows 10 issue

Every time after playing SnowRunner (game), Windows 10 will not shut down completely (screen is blank but the power is still on). And if I restart it will crash (sad face screen). I have played a lot of games, and this has never happened before.

Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated

Two things to check.

First thing is to ensure that your CPU is not overheating. Core Temp is good for checking that.

Second thing is to ensure that ALL your drivers are up to date. In particular, your drive controller and chipset drivers.

If fast start is enabled, disable it.

How to enable and disable fast startup on Windows 10

If you'd like to see how your PC performs without fast startup enabled, you can disable it in just a few steps:

1. Right-click the Start button.

2. Click Search.

   

3. Type Control Panel and hit Enter on your keyboard.

4. Click Power Options.

   

5. Click Choose what the power buttons do.

6. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.

   

7. Click Turn on fast startup (recommended) so that the checkmark disappears.

8. Click Save changes.

   

If you want to re-enable fast startup at any point, simply repeat the steps so a checkmark appears next to Turn on fast startup.

it's a bug of windows 10, disable game mode.

Try Disabling the hibernate may help.

Run Command Prompt as Admin & type powercfg.exe /hibernate off then press Enter
