how is it possible to stop adds inside m,icrosoft apps

 

there are apps which go it nut in brosets not in aoos.

For what it's worth, here is the list of Microsoft severs that I blocked in the "hosts" file; no adds and all programs work fine. You probably use different apps than me, so YMMV. (Note that there are a few entries that seem necessary to be enabled in order to receive Windows Updates in Win 8.1, but have no such effect when blocked on Win 7 - I don's use Win 10 so not tested there.):

Yes, and it's blocking ads system wide, that includes all programs even ones you installed from its store (you may have to configure it, I can't remember if it's activated by default but I think it is).

which apps are you referring to?

while using thefreedictionary installed from windows 10 appstore, there are lots of google adds, and using vidmate,besttube,.... and several others, there are lots of microsoft adds seemingly not google

offering to buy pro version of said apps to stop seeing the adds.
