Sub-Folder of "Software Chat" has issues and also against the forum rules.

  • Extreme censoring and open answers are simply deleted, tho not at all off-topic.
  • Security & privacy issues are not allowed to post, warnings are directly deleted.
  • Somebody collects TeamViewer accounts active!!
  • And any chats about that are banned...

This was the last one as pic:

Please also see Members Corner Rules staff are bound to enforce.

Like anything in our forum if you don't like it don't participate no one is forcing you to do so.

There are none concerns about sharing Teamviewer nor privacy. First there are no accounts with Teamviewer, and it's just an ID and password. Futhermore, everyone knows how it works because every time you close the software it will create new password, and it will give you a huge notification whenever someone has access to it.

Hmmmm, ok... But WHY is then forced TeamViewer at all??

Because I myself would never allow any remote stuff, so would also never install it.

That's almost like: "If you wanna a (free) tiny pizza then you have first change your furniture and allow temporary a camera in every room.;)

Sorry man but you are talking mince. Nobody is forced to do anything around here, or indeed, on any website. You sound like you are feeling entitled! I am referring to your use of the word 'forced' when I say this.

Surely a site like this should be a place where one can learn about software and so learn to use a software like teamviewer safely...you evidently do not realise it is the easiest software to monitor attempts at nefarious use by the two people that are connected? You could also learn about sandboxing and monitor it for any attempts to throw anything up that is outside of what is being claimed to be done to help you.

Of course you could just try trusting the people that are going out of their way to help you and give you freebies on a forum and site that operates and RELIES ON TRUST.

Do you really think that the way someone here would choose to collect teamviewer accounts(why oh why on earth would anyone collect teamviewer accounts Lol!) would be to openly offer keys to anyone who replies and then steal their account? What are they stealing exactly, a name or ip to connect to with their own teamviewer? That is like stealing an empty paper bag my friend. A wet one.

With a hole in it.

There is nothing to steal you see.

I am not trying to start an argument here or am I interested in one. I simply wanted to offer an independent opinion to show you another side. I hate seeing people get at each other over a case of no trust. It is not worth it.

I do hope you can see the light dude. I've had nothing but good experiences here and have seen some great examples of altruism that are one of the main reasons I keep returning, despite myself not being very active online in general any more. This forum is one of the good ones!

Best regards.

All sounds and looks cute and nice... But still the same question which is not answered yet!

WHY then at all the camera for one pizza (TeamViewer)?? Normal humans simply communicate and give directly files or keys when needed, no spyware needed. And smarter people would never ever give any remote rights and block already in OS setting per default. And it's also known that TeamViewer is most used tool of scammers.

So... Zero reasons and smells badly imho, sorry.

P.S.: And it's true that some good members here fight for security & privacy, tho sadly a few also care shits about it. :coolwink:

Ok , ok have it your way. Paranoia wins through and to hell with trust.

The answer has already been given. Using teamviewer protects the identity of BOTH of you.

I cannot say any more when one is wilfully closing their ears. I am surprised you even use a computer because you truly are clueless about it. (...Because scammers use teamviewer that makes it risky? Get a grip of reality! That is not how logic works).

You are paranoid to your own detriment and that only harms one person. :D

I tried.

I switch off reply notification now ok because this is sillier than I predicted at first.
