uTorrent is an efficient and feature rich BitTorrent client for Windows sporting a very small footprint. It was designed to use as little cpu, memory and space as possible while offering all the functionality expected from advanced clients. With uTorrent, you can download files faster and contribute by sharing files and bandwidth. Additionally, uTorrent supports the Protocol Encryption joint specification (compatible with Azureus 2.4.0.0 and above, BitComet 0.63 and above) and peer exchange.

I just ran "uTorrent_3.5.5.45574.exe". It needs to uninstall the existing installation [also from a previous installer from you]. Will this remove all of my uTorrent settings? [And, if so, is there a way to backup the settings?]

It will ask you to uninstall, but note that on any uninstall it ask you to keep the settings and on any install it will ask you to clean the existing data/settings. Keep in mind to disagree and save the settings and it will not remove any settings.

Silly me! I think I clicked on "Clean" by accident. I just redid my settings. Better luck next time... 😀 Thanks for all your time and effort!

EDIT: I think I noticed that "Protocol Encryption" is disabled be default? Is it better this way? Or, should it be enabled?

Protocol Encryption>Outgoing If you are using a VPN, should this be "Enabled"? Or, does it matter?
