Macrium Reflect Error Making A Backup

I just tried to do a backup several times and I get the following error: What could be the cause/fix? Thanks

Open Macrium
Go to Other tasks on the top menu
Select fix VSS problems

 

It will register VSS. Hopefully, that will fix it.

Thanks for the suggestion but I wound up restoring an image to a week ago and all is well now. If I get that again I'll try your suggestion for sure.

Also beware of A/V with ransomware protection. It detected Image Guardian as ransomware and corrupted all my backup images. I could restore an image but there were sector errors and crashes with endless disk errors. FYI

For Image Guardian you should only set partitions where you save images!! :coolwink:

And also clean & fix your VSS system maybe...

It looks like VSS was broken there.

If it happens again, you should try and identify the cause.

 

Some imaging applications can cause it, especially ones that offer their own backup service.
