Error Lookup 2.3.2

Recommended Posts

Error Lookup is a lightweight program for retrieving information about Windows errors. The interface is simple - just a box to type your code, and another which displays the details - so there doesn’t seem much to learn. All you need to do is just enter the code and it will provide the corresponding description.

Error Lookup is an open source tool which can help by translating error codes into a more meaningful text description.

The program supports a wide range of error codes: regular Windows errors, DirectX, NTSTATUS errors (Native API), Windows Internet errors (WinInet), Device Manager errors, STOP codes (BSOD), RAS/VPN, and Ip Helper library error codes. It can probably be configured to read more (Settings > System modules)

The lightweight application is less than a megabyte, and it is compatible with Windows XP SP3 and higher operating systems. You can download either the installer or portable version.

This app explains what the errors actually are according to the displayed error codes. One needs to input the error code no. as error occurs on one's system and info about the error is displayed in the Description pane.

This is a nice little app indeed.

Nice, I think it's a good replacement for Whocrashed but I have to test it myself. I don't know how to crash my Windows or make it go BSOD lol
