Oh...,You mean that book published about 70 million year ago: "Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy", when Earth was last visited by some intergalactic visitors. They found a really hostile environment on this planet, full of some very aggresive gigantic beasts, some weigthing about 25 - 30 tons and the intelligence of a chicken... and worse even, looks it was the dominant species since about 200 millions years, showing no sign of evolution!
