Laptop Not Reading Galaxy S9

Recommended Posts

Hello Nsaners, hope someone can assist me with the following. I have a Galaxy S9 with the latest update installed (G960FXXU7CSJ1/G960F0CM7CSJ1/G960FXXU7CSI6). I have been trying to connect it to my laptop but I keep failing every single time. The below are checked more than once

• Android Driver correctly installed

• USB debugging is enabled

• Wiped cache partition

• Tried different cable

• Tried the USB C converter that came with the phone. No USB detected

You can find some answers here:

1. https://www.technipages.com/galaxy-s9-connect-pc

2. https://itechify.com/2018/07/31/galaxy-s9-not-recognized-by-pc/

Also, it's best to install android driver directly from Samsung, and try avoid using generic drivers.

You might need to check your USB port on your laptop, in some instances you have try another port.

Maybe what is needed is the Samsung driver, instead of so called Android one (?). You could also try Odin (or the like) apps to see if your phone is detected by specialized tools (?).

I already tried all the points mentioned in both links but no laptop is being able to connect to my phone even after installing Smart Switch

Not specified but you are likely using w10 (?).

Full version (which?) or customized?

Is your phone recognized if/when plugged in another computer (if tried)?

This is somehow weird. Have you brought the device to Samsung service center?

I am trying to find out a workaround before having to go to the service center
