Malwarebytes Anti-Malware block App update not data update

Hi,
I've 2 computers running Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 3.7.1 with lifetime License. Since I update one of thes computers to the latest Malwarbytes 3.8.3 I lost the License and it reverted to Free.

The second computer still uses the 3.7.1 version and still update the application data. So, how can I block the application update without blocking the data update? There is no such parameters configuration.

Regards

Download MBAM 3.8.3 I and run it directly. It will upgrade to a newer version and remain activated.

If you choose to update, you'll certainly lose activation.

That's my experience.

You cannot block the application update.

Thanks for the tip jollydan, it worked.
My lifetime License remains active.

1 month ago I lost my license on another computer by updating via Malwarebytes. ☹️

Will my lifetime License remain active after upgrading win10 pro 1809  to 1903?

I lost several MBAM lifetime licenses by updating MBAM 3.7.1 to 3.8.3.

One day, I downloaded MBAM 3.8.3 and ran it to upgrade MBAM and luckily the activation remained unchanged. so I exchanged my experience to you.

I think if you already update MBAM to version 3.8.3, and your license remains active, there will be no problem when you upgrade your Windows.

TNX jollydan for sharing yr experience. I think, I'll stay with my 3.7.1. I'll don't take update risk.
