straycat19 Posted May 2, 2019 Share Posted May 2, 2019 Besides the fact this software hasn't been updated in 18 months, it does nothing more than the extensions/plugins which is blocking scripts. Quote What Portable Anti-WebMiner does is block these scripts by resorting to an ever-expanding blacklist database of hosts, regardless of the browser you are using on a daily basis. Since it hasn't been updated there is no ever-expanding database, which means the software is essentially worthless now. I could find no software that does this, even searching the various alternatives just leads to extensions/plugins for the various browsers. Which isn't bad since they ARE maintained. Someone wanted filter lists, and that is exactly what I posted. It is up to the user if they want to use them. HandyPAF Posted May 5, 2019 Share Posted May 5, 2019 I assumed you were using uBlock Origin which obviously includes their own filter lists. The lists I provided were not tested by me but were taken from FilterLists.com Some security software should also include mining protection.
