With the Media Creation Tool, you can now upgrade to the Windows 10 May 2019 Update without becoming an Insider

Updated: Currently the tool downloads version 1809, not 1903 as expected.

In theory the Windows 10 May 2019 Update is done, but Microsoft has chosen to let it marinate in the Slow and Release Preview Ring to catch show stopper and embarrassing rare but high impact bugs before release, as plagued to October 2018 Update.

If you are the brave type you can get it early by signing up as an Insider, but that involved needing to agree to share your data with Microsoft.

There is however another way to upgrade directly – the Media Creation Toolkit, and today HTNovo.net noticed that the official tool has been updated with the 1903 Update, meaning you can now create an ISO or update directly using the tool.

In reality, everyone should probably cool their heels and wait out the official process, particularly with Microsoft putting such a high emphasis on quality with this build, but if you are the “Hold my Redbull” type, you can find the tool here.

Sorry, but this is misleading info once again.
Yes, there is such MediaCreationTool what have such a name and new creation date, but still doesn't exist one very important thing, ie doesn't exist products.cab (and also products.xml) file for this version.
You may ask - why. Microsoft has some problems and have been changed the release time of this version. So there is no files files list or files, what can be downloaded.

And moreover, what is the MediaCreationTool version number, it have  no importance, this is just a general download tool what starts the latest Windows version download, extraction/decryptio from .est file to installation files or makes .iso file.

The link to download the MediaCrationTool1903.exe was first spotted by HTNovo.net (via MSPowerUser.com), and it’s available through the Microsoft support website.

However, it’s unlisted link, which means that the tool is not meant for public use.

Warning: If it wasn’t clear, this is an unofficially release, Microsoft may block the download at any time without notice. If you download the tool, use it at your own risk. You’ve been warned.

I downloaded the Windows ISO with the Media Creation Tool from OP's link. Then installed Windows on a VM. This is what I get.

The exe might be 1903 , but perhaps, the latest version will only be available as and when it’s available on MS servers for general public.

Most certainly. I have been most fortunate, unlike some, to not experience any major issues since testing the preview. The only minor issue is with windows spotlight, which is not a big deal. I'm sure it won't be an issue once the RTM is ready

Windows 10 May 2019 Update RTM Now Available for Download

If you’re not a Windows insider and want to download and install the upcoming Windows 10 May 2019 Update on your computer, it turns out you can do it using an official tool from Microsoft.

If you’re not a Windows insider and want to download and install the upcoming Windows 10 May 2019 Update on your computer, it turns out you can do it using an official tool from Microsoft.

As per HTNovo, the Media Creation Tool has recently been updated to serve Windows 10 May 2019 Update (version 1903) to any device, including production systems that are not enrolled in the Windows Insider program.

The version that you should download is this one, and it works just like the previous releases. You are required to complete a wizard and set up the download process by choosing the Windows 10 version you want, along with language, and other settings.

The Media Creation Tool takes care of the whole process, and when the download task comes to an end, it can fire up the upgrade on your device.May 2019 Update still in testing stageThis means you can update any Windows 10 system to the May 2019 Update right now in a matter of minutes, albeit you should think twice before doing it.

This is because Windows 10 May 2019 Update is still in the testing phase, as Microsoft has recently released it to insiders in the Release Preview ring. Microsoft said the public rollout would only kick off in late May, and in the meantime, it wants to refine the experience with the update using insider feedback.

Several cumulative updates would be shipped by the time the go-ahead is given, so it’s safe to say that the version currently available via the Media Creation Tool isn’t 100 percent final.

As a result, Microsoft allowing users to download and install the upcoming Windows 10 feature update is a little surprising, especially because it’s production devices we’re talking about here, so I recommend you to first try it out on a testing system or in a virtual machine until Microsoft releases an official announcement.

The tool just download version 1809 build 17763.379 as I posted above. It's safe to use but is not 1903 as the post say.

Microsoft has patched this leak and the tool only download 1803 October 2018 update.
