If you are using Virtual Machine than make Snapshot to return the condition. If you are using real device, you have only one attempt! I found the following: .NET Framework 4.x cannot be verified and installed at first installation. Once you failed on first run, any next installation will be completed successfully. This is problem for any .NET Framework 4 except one version - .NET Framework 4.5.2 work successfully without any fail! I hope someone to confirm the issue! I checked left overs during the first install, but can not find the responsible key for success. Definitely it is not in the registry, because I returned all. It is somewhere in files leftovers, I have a little list of changes. Yes but @Togijak is right with 4.7.2 will give error on every launch if we arent connected to internet @BTJB so if you are trying to fix this you gonna have to fix the first launch problem and also the network check bceause if there is not network you wont be able to install 4.7.2 no matter how many times you launch it. I am installing all kind of net frameworks without problem. The only problem I found is the first launch! The first launch always fail. Any next installation work fine! So, if there is no problem with any version, than reason is not limited space, not disabled network! The only problem is first installing on clean Windows 7. If there wasn't attempt to install, it will fail. If there was attempting before, than it is in good condition to install and complete successfully without any error! You are able to install the same version to the end of Windows 7 live! You are unable to install the new different version. If you try once, you are done to install on next time. So what is the point to extract two parts one by one if there is not enough space for the second one? I am thinking logically of course. And why no one tried my offer? I downloaded and ran the .Net472 offline installer on both without any problem. Installed and finished normally.
