DO puts too many codes of anti-piracy while does not pay enough attentions to very basic functions. e.g. even until now there is still a bug with the "rename" a file, if you just want to change the case of a file name, either from upper to lower, or vice versa, the file name will not get changed at the first try. If you try many times, sometimes it would work.

Update: this rename issue only happens with the drive that is VeraCrypt-protected. It is not a DO problem.

no such a problem here.

@neommc Thanks for the new fix. One question: should we use the new fix, or still OK to continue to use the previous one? The old fix has been working well so far in my system.

use the new fix for potential hidden check.

@neommc Many thanks, I think I should let you know one thing I observed since I started to use your 12.12 fix because DO's unethical behaviors. From time to time, my WORD 2016 hangs, no response. I always leave DO open once I turn my computer on.  I have Outlook, Firefox, Google Chrome and Word running. It is always the Word hangs. I am not sure if this is something to do with the 12.12 fix. Word did not crash or completely died. I can still right-click to close it and any un-saved files had the chance to save. So it is possible DO did something to slow down the Word. Except this with Word, all are fine. No crashes or rebooting. By the way, I do not let DO replace Window's file manager. I hardly use DO's other more complex functions except the basic file managing functions: copy/delete/rename/search... I plan to revert to 12.6 to see if Word still hangs.

Update: after a long wait e.g. almost 2 hours, Word revived itself and started to work again.

you just click one file name, only change one letter of the name: from lowercase to upper. You will find that the change will not happen.

It is when I try view .xls, .docx (Office 2016). I will try this with no touched DO. I use new fix.

Windows 7 x64.

OK, I tried this on clean Windows 7x64, clean install DO, new Fix.

Without crack DO opened Word document in Viewer Pane.

With crack DO showed error "Module ActiveX reported exception....".

@neommc, have you checked this issue mate? I guess it is most probably the company's mistake?

@neommc, thanks again.  My problem with Word 2016 may be also related to this. I have switched back to 12.6, I will confirm if it was a 12.12 problem in a few days' testing.

After a few tests, I now confirm that this rename issue (i.e. cannot only change the cases of a file name) only happens with the drive that is VeraCrypt-protected. It is not a DO problem.

Thanks, this is interesting for me to hear, because I use VeraCrypt with some drives too. Have you reported the problem to VeraCrypt?

Is there an update for "docs.dll" (fixed) ?

Supposed to be:

Quote

e3e10341aef876cceb0ec3dfc7c9236006bbfbcb0162ed80f32773a847fee131 *docs.dll

but got this instead:

 44318077d4d62ebde5398bca1ed3af48277547192450b9e8285e3e046f473d52

The other 2 DLLs hashes are correct.

Current links are down.

If there is an update, appreciate refreshed links.

If you unpack from the "DO.v12.12.fix.214.7z", all hashes would be correct as @neommc posted.

Update: I figured it out for you. YOU mixed it up with the previous release by yourself!!!!! which indicated your medicine is not completely applied with the latest one, so DO may not work properly.

i've had v12.12.1 Beta installed for a few weeks (no need to reboot after install), its down to 3 days of the trial, i've added DeLtA's cracks and the key.

it technically reverts back to v12.12 (obviously) but all seems okay. i will test it out over the next few days
