Xbox One UPDATE: Microsoft fans sent into overdrive about THIS Scarlett demand

XBOX ONE fans have been sent into meltdown over hopes Microsoft could do one big thing for the next-gen Scarlett console.

Xbox One fans have been left hoping Microsoft has one big plan in the works for the next-gen Scarlett console.

Microsoft has already revealed that their next-gen Xbox is in the works with rumours of a number of different models being prepared.

It’s been claimed that there will be two different versions of the Scarlett, with an Xbox One S style model and a beefier build like the Xbox One X.

These next-gen consoles are expected to launch in 2020 while Microsoft is also rumoured to be working on a disc-less Xbox One.

 

This, according to a post by Thurrott, will launch in 2019 and will cost $200 (£155) or less.

As rumours about the Scarlett swirl fans have been left hoping Microsoft will make a move that could give them a major advantage in the next console wars.

This week huge gaming news was revealed as it was announced Activision and Bungie were parting ways after eight years together.

The publishing rights for Destiny will transfer from Activision to Bungie with the studio “ready to publish on [their] own”.

However, Microsoft fans have been left hoping that the Xbox makers will try to acquire Bungie now they’re parting ways with Activision.

The two parties have history, with Bungie’s breakthrough hit Halo one of the launch titles on the original Xbox.

Bungie was acquired by Microsoft in 2000 and during seven years released acclaimed hits like Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST and Halo Reach.

Their games were synonymous with the Xbox and Xbox 360 platforms but in 2007 Bungie split from Microsoft to become a privately held company.

 

Then in 2010 Activision announced a publishing agreement with Bungie which saw the studio’s Destiny games appear on PlayStation formats.

But now Bungie and Activision are splitting up Microsoft fans are calling on the Xbox One makers to re-acquire them.

And they posted these hopes on Twitter after Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox, sent Bungie a tweet after the news of the Activision split emerged.

He tweeted at Bungie: “Looking forward to a very bright future working with one of my favorite independent studios on one of my favorite franchises.

“Excited to see how they continue to grow and evolve Destiny.”

 

 

And Bungie responded: “Thanks, Phil. We're humbled by your words.”

The tweet from Spencer was retweeted almost 2,000 times and liked more than 14,000 times.

Responding to the tweet one Xbox fan posted: “Reacquire Bungie and bring them home”.

 

Another wrote: “Have them work with 343 on Halo Infinite”.

One added: “E3 2019 may be a good time to announce, I believe”.

And another posted: “Do it Phil!!!”

 

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Bungie and Xbox, but the Halo creators are rumoured to have a big project in the pipelines.

Bungie has filed a trademark for a mysterious title called Matter, with a logo for it already revealed in a filing with the EU.

While analysts have also predicted that Destiny 3 is coming with a rumoured release date in 2020.

This is also when the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett consoles are expected to release
