@The AchieVer

First thank you for this post, it should help a lot of people.

Now, would you tell me if one uses this method on an already installed and permanently activated copy of Office, will this impacts the activation?

Ya i agree , it's easy  and the product ID's are mentioned on the first page of the post.

Further, the point of this thread is not to custom install office application , but perhaps, re-configuring the installed office application  aka removal of certain apps.

requesting help for odt

shows im on volume already but i cant use the volume key provided in the other thread

I would suggest that you un-install this office application and re-install a new one with the help of ODT. You will get the volume edition without changing it from retail to volume.

I can assist you with that.

uninstalled completely, followed your steps one by one, i reached this step.

Run the ODT < you will have 2 files < delete the sample config files

Now create a folder on the desktop , name it office2019 < now transfer the setup.exe and your config file in it.

Run the CMD as administrator < type the following command to change the directory:

cd \Users\UserName\Desktop\Office2019

(where UserName has to be replaced with your device name)

 Now run the configure command:

           setup /configure config.xml

This will start the Re-configuration of office .Once the Re-configuration is complete, you are returned to a command prompt and you can go open Office 2019 programs .

Follow the steps properly , just use copy/paste and then continue.

The img file must be the Retail version.

You only need ODT and config file to install office 2019 volume edition.
