nir
Microsoft's email service is having a bit of a hard time, it seems. While the outage does not affect everyone, there are a number of reports suggesting that some users are unable to access their mail using either the app or the website. A number of such tweets can be found from the last hour or so: I think #outlook is down — King of Snark (@LordJunon) November 15, 2018 My email app told me sign in failed so I went online and get this message even after resetting my password. Can't log in on web browser or email app. #hotmail #hotmailoutage #outlook #microsoft @Microsoft pic.twitter.com/6s6md4qq1w — Amber (@Amber_Eve_M) November 15, 2018 In my own testing, I was actually able to access my emails via both the Outlook web client and the Mail app on Windows 10 with no issues whatsoever, so it does seem that whatever issues Microsoft is having are not affecting all users/locales. The error users are getting is as follows: We couldn't sign you in to Outlook. This might have happened because you have a bookmark that's out of date. Please try signing in at https://outlook.live.com/owa/ and updating your bookmark, if necessary. InnerException: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException We've reached out to Microsoft to clarify what might be causing this partial loss of access for some users and when they can expect email access to be restored, and will update you accordingly.
