Bitly is a URL shortener not a cash affiliate. The merits/demerits of Bitly links or of any other URL shortener are irrelevant to this conversation — nowhere on the guidelines of nSane is it stated that URL shorteners aren't permitted. Rules apart, the OP itself (of that concerned topic) bears over 45 likes and more than 50 folks are following that conversation (as of typing this post) — locking it should've been the last resort . . . . . suspect we need to learn to lend a more personal touch to conversations (especially to proven members) on a case-to-case basis (personally, have no vested interests whatsoever, in the said thread — KMS . . . . . personally, is just not my style.) Those who lack the requisite skill-set to deal with the above faux-pas might want to give-in to their irresistible itch . . . . . lock this thread, as well — and, prove my suspicion right. FYI, there's no site that does not possess tracking capabilities — some may allow the User to view the tracked activity upon payment, others may do the same for free and then some may not permit any sort of transparent viewership.
