nir
This isn’t new and it’s likely related to drivers We’ve known for a while that Windows 10 version 1809, also known as October 2018 Update, is one of the buggiest OS updates ever release, so it shouldn’t come as a big surprise that people have discovered another BSOD bug in the operating system. And what’s more, it appears that anyone can reproduce it if their systems have been upgraded to Windows 10 version 1809, though it’s worth mentioning that some say the same issue exists on previous feature updates too. Technically, what you need to do is to head over to Bluetooth settings and repeatedly click the Bluetooth toggle to switch it on and off several times. If the bug exists on your system, this series of clicks should cause a system crash, forcing the computer to reboot. Bad Bluetooth drivers? By the looks of things, there is an issue with Bluetooth drivers and isn’t necessarily related to Windows 10, though the simple fact that some users claim the problem has been around for a while should be reason for Microsoft to investigate and step in to correct it. Reddit users have confirmed in this thread that the glitch can be reproduced on their systems as well, and even more surprising is that a few managed to trigger the BSOD on Microsoft’s very own Surface computers. Needless to say, the system must have a Bluetooth adapter installed. If you want to see the glass half full, it’s pretty difficult to hit the issue by accident, and I’d really be curious to find out how the first user came across it, especially because it requires clicking the Bluetooth toggle several times in a row. Windows 10 October 2018 Update isn’t available for download anymore due to a file removal bug, so hopefully, when Microsoft resumes the rollout, it would address this issue as well.Source
steven36
Like was said at Reddit you can do the same thing on Linux mint by turning the Bluetooth off and on but it wont cause a kernel panic but it will cause it to freeze up same thing happens if i unplug drives when running Linux that's why you should power down before unplugging them . So this bug is not even windows specific How many people actually turn Bluetooth off and on not many ? But this bug is not 1809 specific, Google turning Bluetooth off and on causes bsod, they are 100s of results of Bluetooth causing BSOD for years this dude is posting every bug report posted on Reddit . Quote How To Fix BSOD When You Turn Bluetooth Off On Windows 10 Sep 7, 2018 BSODs were practically a feature on Windows 10 when it was first released. They’ve since became somewhat rare but that doesn’t mean you won’t see a BSOD. There appears to be a bug that, when you turn Bluetooth off, your system crashes. This bug is a result of a driver problem so here’s the fix. Since this is a driver problem, you’re going to have to roll back the driver or update it. We can’t say for certain which you need to do since on the system we tried this solution out on, the bug appeared out of the blue. There were no system updates so nothing changed and the Bluetooth driver didn’t update. What worked was updating the driver but for some users, a roll back might be what’s in order. BSOD On Bluetooth Off You need to either update or roll back the driver. Turn on Bluetooth. Open Device Manager, and expand the Bluetooth group of devices. Look for your Bluetooth chipset. It ought to be called something like Intel Wireless Bluetooth. Right-click it, and select Properties from the context menu. On the Properties window, go to the Driver tab. If the Roll Back Driver option is enabled, click it and roll back to an older version of the Bluetooth driver. Once it has been rolled back, restart your system and turn Bluetooth off. If you still get the BSOD, you might need to update the driver. The process is almost the same. Open Device Manager, expand Bluetooth devices, right-click your Bluetooth chipset, and select Properties from the context menu. On the Properties window, go to the Driver tab, and select Update Driver. Select the ‘Search automatically for updated driver software’ option and it will look for available updates. If it finds them, allow it to install the updated driver and restart your system. That ought to fix the BSOD. If it doesn’t, check if you’ve recently installed a Windows 10 update. If you have, it’s a good idea to roll it back and delay updates until the next major one rolls out. In the event that there is no driver to roll back to, and there is no updated version available either, you might have to manually search for an older driver version. A good place to look is the manufacturer’s website for your laptop. Once you find it, you will need to first uninstall the current driver and then install the one you downloaded. Source If GarryHackerman would of Googled for the answer instead of asking a bunch of complainers he most likely would have fixed it by now. Most of the time if you get a BSOD ... You got to love windows users who think windows should be non problematic when BSOD on Windows is old as Windows itself . Sometimes its a driver sometimes its software that uses a driver. leland
It's not just turning Bluetooth on and off. I have had sporadic Bluetooth issues with every release of Windows 10. My Bluetooth mouse will stop working for no reason and just as mysteriously start working again. I have searched for fixes for 2 years+ now with no resolution. I just keep a usb mouse handy for those moments it happens...

My Network Adapter I also have Dell by Qualcomm and can use ether one the one that comes with Windows or Dells.
Sanua893
I use Intel i5 with octane memory before that I faced driver irql_less_or_not_equal windows 10 error. After that my computer mechanic suggested to switch with SSD or Optane memory and I changed this.
