Is there an export/import program settings functionality in Revo like Total Uninstall has?

no, i did request that feature about a week ago, it still doesn't appear to have been implemented in v4

@DjDiabolik ...How did you get the portable to work using the version.dll file? When I place it in the portable folder the program still asks for serial information? Does it need to be placed in one of the folders within the portable?

I have pick the original portable package........ extract it. After that i have extract the both folder x86 e x64 from "Keygen.rar" and put them over i previusly extracted the portable package.

Run it and all it's works whitout any problems......... i see empty forms on serial and empty on expiration date........ it's say "Register at name" also whit empty forms.

Copy & paste such that the content (version.dll) of x64 & x86 from the Keygen go inside the respective x64 & x86 folders of the portable software

This version still leaves traces, even with monitored installs. I have to use Everything and Registry Finder to clean after using Revo.

The best uninstall method I found is to take a snapshot before and after a install with SysTracer Pro and then manually deleting the files.

I thinks I will give this a try, because all the uninstallers I tried leave traces.

Thank you for the tip.

This is the same method I use, but I use Total Uninstall.

Monitor every install. When it comes time to uninstall, do so manually then run the cleanup for the Monitored log of the app to make sure any leftovers are taken care of. And obviously, restart the PC if prompted so TU can finish the job afterward.

I don't use Revo but I'm sure the same tactic would suffice. I think I did this same thing with Uninstall Tool at one point.

  • 2 weeks later...

I am still running v3.2. I noticed now with v4 there is a new ugly interface, the one in V3 was better, but also that it is now on a per-year basis just like other programs like CCleaner, Malwarebytes, etc to name a few.

With this crack I notice it says something like 360 days left when I tried it on a test machine. Does this medicine really expire in one year? Will need new medicine? Or will the program continue to work after the 1 year is up in 2019?

And should auto-updates be disabled?

Thanks

I use the standard program uninstaller via Revo, then if there is a log available, Revo will then offer to clean up with its logs. A pretty clean way to remove applications.

Even so, I find the GUI of Revo to be overwhelming.

I wish the GUI of TU could be more minimalist like Geek Uninstaller but that's not going to happen. Revo isn't going to go that route, either. Both apps used to be minimal in appearance but alas, times change.

I haven't used Geek Uninstaller. Does it monitor installation and create an uninstallation log?

No, I was only referencing the very basic and straightforward UI that the Geek Uninstaller program has.
It is freeware, very small, fast. But it doesn't have any advanced functions like monitoring or logs. That is why I wish TU or Revo had a basic UI like Geek Uninstaller has, because I want that UI but with the monitor/log functions. Just a personal dream of mine.

Geek uninstaller has a pro version and it's called Uninstall Tool and has that feature you want. It can be found on here with a search. I use it. Here is their web page.
