The icon in the taskbar doesnt mean that the program is on.

In the settings of the taskbar you simply can toggle the notification icon on or off.

From the WinX Menu, open Settings > Personalization and select Taskbar in the left pane.

Scroll down and click on Select which icons appear on the taskbar link,

Here you will see Windows Defender notification icon.

Toggle the switch to the Off position and you will see the Windows Defender icon disappear from the System Tray.

the icon in taskbar is not Windows Defender, is just the icon of Security Center, same that in Windows Vista/7/8, previosly was a Flag and now is a Shield.

that is for the notifications of Windows Defender, but I was talking about the purpose of that icon generally, and that is not only for Windows Defender.

  1. If it's so easy, what do you think, why we are looking for other options.
  2. Moreover, this problem has already been resolved.

  4. Moreover, this problem has already been resolved.
  5. Icon on taskbar may be visible or hidden, it has been so from Windows 7 already. But if it is hidden, it doesn't, that it isn't there at all. Simply You must click on the arrow to see it.

PS! If you post pictures, You must use https://, else these images are not visible (web browsers security policy from July 2018).

You have used

http://i64.tinypic.com/331ewkz.jpg

For example, I cannot see it anyway. So I uploaded it to other sever, now it's visible.

I don't understand what you're bothered about something that is already solved. . . . ?

Ps

I use Slimjet and Firefox both up to date and both with cleaned cache and both no problems with pictures I posted before.

Ah wait, you didn't mention anything about your browser but now I begin to think that you're using Chrome?

So I need to use an imagehost that gives ssl urls. Just because you have chosen the wrong browser?

The browser that tracks you to the bone. Secure but no privacy.

?

Anyway, thanks for making me aware of the problem.

I have written a very simple program which will remove Windows Defender.  There will be no warnings about not having it, either.  It is portable, and I have tested it with multiple builds RS3, RS4, RS5, and RS6.  (The fact that it works for RS3 is really coincidental as many errors are thrown up in the command file, but it does work.  I didn't make it for that build so I was happy to see it do what it did.  LOL)

Instructions

Spoiler

Click on Start.cmd
If you DO NOT have Net Framework 3.5 installed program will inform you, and exit.
It is up to you to install Net Framework 3.5 then try the program again.
If the second window does not appear after restart, then restart manually.  It should then appear.

Whats the point in butchering the system files when you already can simply turn off defender using standard ways (Group policy and registry) ?

No system files were butchered in this process.  This only removes system packages, registry files, and folders.  The point is that many people asked for a way to completely remove it.

If you plan to use my RemoveDefender program from three posts above, please download it again.  I have made some reliability changes.

I use a program called DestroyWindowsSpying when I am forced to use that pos operating system.  You can get rid of uac and defender and metro apps and store and firewall and telemetry but I still don 't trust it.

That's right and from my point of view, the best way remain to use dism.

As reminder and to resume, first of all, my advice will be to remove the Capability (from the iso itself).

Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Get-Capabilities
Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Remove-Capability /CapabilityName:App.Support.QuickAssist~~~~0.0.1.0 >> D:\ReportAboutCapability_FromW10-v1803.txt
Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Remove-Capability /CapabilityName:Browser.InternetExplorer~~~~0.0.11.0 >> D:\ReportAboutCapability_FromW10-v1803.txt
Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Remove-Capability /CapabilityName:Hello.Face.Resource.A~~~~0.0.1.0 >> D:\ReportAboutCapability_FromW10-v1803.txt
Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Remove-Capability /CapabilityName:Hello.Face.Resource.B~~~~0.0.1.0 >> D:\ReportAboutCapability_FromW10-v1803.txt
Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Remove-Capability /CapabilityName:Hello.Face.Resource.C~~~~0.0.1.0 >> D:\ReportAboutCapability_FromW10-v1803.txt
Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Remove-Capability /CapabilityName:Language.Handwriting~~~fr-FR~0.0.1.0 >> D:\ReportAboutCapability_FromW10-v1803.txt
Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Remove-Capability /CapabilityName:Language.OCR~~~fr-FR~0.0.1.0 >> D:\ReportAboutCapability_FromW10-v1803.txt
Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Remove-Capability /CapabilityName:Language.Speech~~~fr-FR~0.0.1.0 >> D:\ReportAboutCapability_FromW10-v1803.txt
Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Remove-Capability /CapabilityName:Language.TextToSpeech~~~fr-FR~0.0.1.0 >> D:\ReportAboutCapability_FromW10-v1803.txt
Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Remove-Capability /CapabilityName:Language.UI.Client~~~fr-FR~ >> D:\ReportAboutCapability_FromW10-v1803.txt
Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Remove-Capability /CapabilityName:Media.WindowsMediaPlayer~~~~0.0.12.0 >> D:\ReportAboutCapability_FromW10-v1803.txt
Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Remove-Capability /CapabilityName:OneCoreUAP.OneSync~~~~0.0.1.0 >> D:\ReportAboutCapability_FromW10-v1803.txt
Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Remove-Capability /CapabilityName:OpenSSH.Client~~~~0.0.1.0 >> D:\ReportAboutCapability_FromW10-v1803.txt
Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Remove-Capability /CapabilityName:Language.Basic~~~fr-FR~0.0.1.0 >> D:\ReportAboutCapability_FromW10-v1803.txt
Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Get-Capabilities

Then you can remove Defender but don't forget (the MRT is missing in this example) and you must follow the order.

Dism /Image:D:\IsoWindowsMounted_v1803 /Remove-Package /Packagename:Windows-Defender-Nis-Group-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.16299.15

Let me know if you're interest by this solution. Because as you can guess, the script is very long.
