It's actually not an errorcode but the LicenseStatusReason, which can be queried via wmic. Needed short confirmation by mxman2k from MDL but was right.

For Windows:

C:\WINDOWS\system32>wmic path softwarelicensingproduct where (Name LIKE '%%Windows%%' and PartialProductKey is not null) get LicenseStatusReason
LicenseStatusReason
1074066433

C:\WINDOWS\system32>call cmd /c exit /b 1074066433

C:\WINDOWS\system32>echo %=exitcode%
4004F401

The call is only a quick 'n dirty way to convert the Dec value to Hex.

1074066433 -> 0x4004F401 => Digital/Store License.

For Office it's far more complicated. Depends on what Office is used on what Windows to know which wmic instance to query and each product has it's own info.

Example for Office using info from post #1 (works on Win 8 upwards):

wmic path softwarelicensingproduct where (Name LIKE '%%Office 2016 ProPlusMSDNR%%' and PartialProductKey is not null) get LicenseStatusReason

Thanks for your answer @s1ave77

So...it's not a kind of program like Ratiborus tools?

None of these tools is casting magic, they mostly use Windows own WMIC for queries like that.
