Traffic to this malvertising campaign comes from ads displayed on thousands of sites. Some of these are small, personal sites, while others are in the Alexa Top 500. Malwarebytes says it detected RoughTed-tainted ads on sites such as Adf.ly, ExtraTorrent (now defunct), Openload (now defunct), and Ouo.io, just to name a few of the bigger ones. Also malvertising campaigns use anti adblock and canvas fingerprinting sometimes . I use Nano defender and canvas block addons it helps evade detection . Like i said its not for noobs that dont know how to get around it. I never got infected using URL shorteners , Filelockers , warez blogs and torrnet sites from poisoned ads . But i have years of experience of evading ads . If your really paranoid you can set up a VM with Linux were most Windows malware won't live and use it for just downloading.
