Reefa
EZTV, one of the prime destinations for TV-minded torrent users, is distributing a rather disturbing video on its site. By plastering a list of dozens of IP-addresses in the latest episode of Lucifer, the encoder warns EZTV users that the site is a huge security risk. For more than a decade EZTV has been a widely recognized brand among many BitTorrent users and known as one of the main TV-distribution groups. While the original EZTV shut down following a hostile takeover, the people who took over are still serving torrents to millions of people every month. Generally speaking, EZTV takes releases from outside encoders which they then distribute with their own nametag. It’s been like this for years and has never caused any real problems. Last week, however, a disturbing release was added to the site, sending a message to EZTV users. What appeared to be a regular release of Lucifer S03E19, turned into something darker. Ten minutes into the episode, a red warning appears, telling viewers that EZTV.ag is a huge security risk. Huge Security Risk Throughout the rest of the episode, a few dozen IP-addresses appear plastered across the screen. Needless to say, this makes the program rather unwatchable. According to the earlier message, these IP-addresses are “used on EZTV.ag.” This seems to suggest that the website has a leak somewhere unless it refers to IP-addresses of downloaders, which are public anyway. IP-addresses It is hard to grasp what’s really going on here and there is no direct evidence that the site has been breached in any way. Not directly at least. At the end of the episode, a final message appears, adding to the intrigue. The message comes from the encoder DeXoX and offers up a complete IP-address database, email addresses of registered EZTV users, and more. DeXoX Again, we have not been able to verify the validity of these claims but it’s certainly not good PR for EZTV. The spooky torrent has been downloaded by thousands of people already and is still listed on the site several days after first appearing. We are not familiar with DeXoX, but it appears that the person behind the handle is not a fan of EZTV.ag, to say the least. It remains unclear how the torrent was added to the site. It could be that the EZTV site has indeed been breached in some way, or DeXoX has access to the site where EZTV sources its material. In any event, the release page or the site itself contains no warnings, only the video itself. Update: This torrent is not the only problematic release. There are several others. For example, “Krypton.S01E03.All.Subtitles.HDTV.x264[eztv],” released a few days ago, turns out to be a porn video with another alarming message. https://torrentfreak.com/spooky-torrent-warns-eztv-users-about-huge-security-risk-180408/

Administrator DKT27 Posted April 9, 2018 Administrator Share Posted April 9, 2018 I wonder if these were not collected from the site itself but from the torrents people download from. That, or the site has been selling their visitors information to others, as otherwise I'm not sure why they would want to keep such a list of IPs there. If you read in the comments of the post Quote Pac M Ducor • a day ago DeXoX is a script kiddie that collected those very public IP's in a very public way. The site does have issues, but the moron is just that... an idiot that decided to ruin a tv episode. I take it he just copying down ips with torrents from eztv with there tag from a client and re-encoding videos with the ips in them its not hard to do, just to scare people away from the site even the mods at TPB forum said that saying the government was over that website , as some were saying before was bs . Besides if you was using a vpn on eztv.ag and to download all they would be able to get is you're vpn ip and this should serve people a lesson and a warning that downloading /uploading from torrents exposes you're ip to the whole world and you should only do it using a vpn. (Something you should of have been knowing all along.) It was not the site who done it its this DeXoX that done it. Quote Update: This torrent is not the only problematic release. There are several others. For example, “Krypton.S01E03.All.Subtitles.HDTV.x264[eztv],” released a few days ago, turns out to be a porn video with another alarming message. With a tag like that i'm not going to download it no way , its no group from the scene or any group it only has the websites tag, witch eztv don't encode videos they just upload them and besides thats a English show and i don't need subtitles with it and most HDTV shows don't come with subtitles from the scene you have to get them from subtitle sites . And Porn? That had to come from another site, eztv only post TV shows and it must of not been to spooky, people are still over there on this site downloading videos like a bunch of crack heads with there tag . Far worse things came from p2p before like 0day exploits and still many use it everyday. What it is that were ever eztv bot is uploading from, DeXoX is uploading files to there, the bot has no sense and just uploads it and tags it. It's all done in the cloud most all video files due to the size are only uploaded once and the rest of the uploading is via remote . Even private sites use bots and uploaded fakes and corrupted files before, but the mods are fast to take them down . You see all them legit releases up there with known teams so why would you download one with no group? Also if you go in the post and look at the screen-shot you can see its a tampered with video before ever downloading. at 1337x.to someone says its a gay porn video . https://1337x.to/torrent/2909229/Krypton-S01E03-All-Subtitles-HDTV-x264-eztv/#comments Any who i get most of my shows from x265 groups websites, also i belong to a private site that only post shows on hosters that they upload from usenet and they re-encode there own 1080p x265 and 480p x264 videos. And i go to a few sites that post TV Packs .. I have and addon that i can stream any video i generate on my leecher on kodi or i dl it and watch with smplayer. I don't never download nothing from this eztv site. But don't never download videos with no group tag or from groups you never heard of . Also Lucifer S03E19 720p 10 Subs HDTV x264-DeXoX was uploaded to a bunch of other sites without the eztv tag as well so this guy is just a idiot ,
