Close the EDGE Browser

To set The Favorites list to default (empty) you will need to use The search button to browse to this folder:

%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default\DataStore\Data\nouser1\120712-0049\DBStore\

This can be easily done by opening the search button and pasting the above string into the window’s search bar.

In this directory you will see a file named spartan.edb rename it to spartan_old.edb, open Edge browser and your favorites list is set to default (empty).

Open EDGE and add a link in the favorites icon.

You´re favorites list is now default.

The spartan_old.edb database file can then be imported to another computer with EDGE Browser by not renaming it and deleting all files in:
%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default\DataStore\Data\nouser1\120712-0049\DBStore\
on the target computer and simply copy the spartan.edb from the source computer to %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default\DataStore\Data\nouser1\120712-0049\DBStore\
with edge browser not loaded.

newest version of Edge has native support for:

 

• Importing from a Bookmarks HTML file
• Exporting to a Bookmarks HTML file

 

The spartan.edb database file can´t be imported to another computer with EDGE Browser anymore.
