Microsoft releases October 2016 update for Get & Transform in Excel 2016 and Power Query Add-In

Microsoft has released several updates for Excel 2016 and the Power Query add-in, introducing several features that have been long requested by users. Namely, the update is bringing query parameters support, an improved web connector with web page previews, and improvements to the query editor, accompanied by the option to option to merge/append as a new query.

It’s going to be a while until you get to dig into all of the Windows 10 changes Microsoft announced at the Creator’s Update event, so take this update as a bit of an appetizer. For those who tend to do a lot of work with Excel, the changes that are being made to query parameters are going to be a big help, offering a lot more versatility and power when you’re setting up those spreadsheets.
