Thats bad news ,I dont like spying in my machine !

btw; did you try to import your 8-version settings into 9-version, did you succeed ?

No because the machine I tested it was a clean install of windows 10 it never had eset installed on it tell i put version 9 on it. Now it has Kaspersky 2016 on it . this machine I'm on now has Eset v8 on it and I'm keeping it that way.

[i just installed/upgraded from ESS v8.x to v9.x and it seems as if most (if not all) of my settings were preserved]

At the moment, when I visit anything in the *nsanedown* domain, I get a message from ESS. It does not [seemingly] block access to the web pages -- it just issues an alert.

Advanced Setup>Web Access Protection>URL Address Management>List of addresses excluded from checking is where I listed both *.nsanedown.* and *.nsaneforums.*. Is there further configuration that is needed? Or, can this alert just be ignored because it seems as if it allows access to the web pages?

My Review about Smart Security 9 (Clean install)

- Install finished fast

- Edit options or creating rules much faster than old versions

- GUI works fast except i don't like it

- Browsing works fine without any problems with SSL enabled so far

Problems and Annoying stuff

- Like every new version there's a memory leak after install finished ekrn become 160+MB after update it become 170+MB after creating memory dump file it become 238+MB now it's 303MB ( Reported in forums )

- scan colors need to be like old versions better

- Can't minimize or close GUI alone without closing Scan dialog

- Scan don't start in a new window

- Can't disable banking & payment protection

- I must create a password when Parental control is enabled or GUI will be Orange ( Everything you will try to edit in setting or creating rules you will need to enter the password ) very Annoying

- Parental control message for blocked site don't give what category this site in like before ( You will see it in log )

- Firewall rules not clear like before and it don't even have programs icon ( You will need to focus with names lol )

People that asking about Outlook 2016 they are working on it see here>>

Memory Leak post here>>

About LiveGrid collecting data here>>

In my opinion when they fix these problems it will be a nice version :)

Does anybody know why microsoft edge browser can't open websites after the installation of the new ESET Smart Security?
(It works only when I disable the HIPS option, and it's really annoying)

Change Personal Firewall to interactive mode in Advance Setup.

Ess asks first time any program tries to connect to internet.

Tried that, and it's still the same... the browser opens and the sites not :(

I just tried a clean install Windows with all updates + ESET 9 + Tnod, no problem add all. I can add *nsanedown* to ESET allowed web addresses list and I can browse nsane site in Microsoft Edge. Firewall works fine also.

You didn't update the installer to 9.0.325.1 Right?

9.0.325 is a version of the exe not the program it self and 9.0.325.1 depends on language

Program it self is v9.0.318
