What is your favorite Android call controller that handles both incoming voice and text? :)

The tool will block calls (like Blackballer) AND quaranteen text messages.

To block calls, add the numbers in your contact and select the option to send calls to voicemail

To block text, go into google hangouts and then settings->sms->block number and select to add another then type the number you want to block.

Its the only way i know. Would really prefer if there was an alternate

Go on, hangouts pick the contact number => go to people and options. Now you can block that particular contact. ;)

I have been auditing my incoming calls with a fair deal of granular control on my rooted Kitkat 4.4.2 (Samsung Galaxy S4,) using Extreme Call Blocker - it has the capability to block messages, too (not using that facility, though.)

eset has a call blocker for voice and text...if you get a message or phone call you wish to block you  can stop it from calling you by blocking incoming  or even  just outgoing     or both

Old thread but I don't see any mention of Call Master by Fahrbot. Call Master has a very long list of features including call and text monitoring, obfuscation, custom notifications and sweep call logs. There is a significant learning curve but I think you will find it to be well worth the effort.

exactly, use the truecaller ;) not only it allows you to do so, but also it shows you info about the person calling (e.g. bank, insurance company etc.)
