jose parinas writes "The genius of Albert Einstein, who added a "cosmological constant" to his equation for the expansion of the universe but later retracted it, may be vindicated by new research. The enigmatic "dark energy" that drives the acceleration of the Universe behaves just like Einstein's famed cosmological constant, according to the Supernova Legacy Survey (SNLS). Their observations reveal that the dark energy behaves like Einstein's cosmological constant to a precision of 10%."

i watched a show about this a few months back on the history channel, and einstein was actually critisized into retracting theory (wasn't willingly as the article makes it seem). really tho, it's just kinda funny and mind boggling how he realized something 60 years ago that we're just now catching on to (kinda like those lost, well found now, rocket engines from the ussr a few years ago) :o

I'm SHOCKED :| How could only ONE man figure out something that will be researched and discovered 60 years after he predicted that???

Truly amazing
