PerfectDisk Professional 13.0 Build 783

Recommended Posts

Journey

I'll stick with version 12.5

Why? Sooner or later, one serial number WILL become blocked so enjoy it while it lasts and I don't think adding raxco.com to your hosts file will block it either. We need something better like a crack or new keygen. Thanks anyways.

In this case not your best advise. Version 12.5 sucks. It had unbelievable lousy speed and was not even stable for big jobs.

So version 13 should better be a whole new ball of wax. It would be the first time that Raxco got this right.

And that where 'defrag and trimming' is a pretty limited goal.

Meanwhile, the proper medicine was released for OO.Defrag.Server.v17.x, which is fast and has good Automation by default. It also includes handling TRIM functionality on Solid State Discs.

http://www.oo-software.com/en/products/oodefrag/ssd <O&O's Info on Automation and handling SSD. :flowers:  :sun:

Not having any problems with 12.5 version at all on my machine. Everything is fast. I'm taking my own advise thanks.

Good for you and your system, but Raxco itself mentions a 20 percent speed up in their blog, so they acknowledge the improvements on this point and others.

I don't know yet if I am going to test 13 as much as 12.5, because I like the server versions and for now am happy with O&O.

I think it could be a good idea to block access to Raxco to avoid problems, but that should be after registration done, adding to windows host file :

0.0.0.0 Raxco.com

Yes,

I agree completely.

Register and add this line to prevent online check.

Offline Reg FIle,Credit Goes To november_ra1n

its not working with this build

Not sure for you, but for me it still working.

What I made is to restart to safe mode (there is much trouble to end perfect disk process in normal mode) and merge reg file.

After that add 0.0.0.0 Raxco.com to host file an restart machine.

Run Perfect Disk and when it says register perfect disk just ignore it.

Does someone still remeber that in previous versions do not register option , and do not check for updates exists?

Other thing I saw in program installation directory is Config.ini which has some options not included in normal setup.

Check line 19 and 23 about auto update.

Not sure what could be done using edited this file, it has to be checked, but it looks like they hide some options from users.

-1-
• disabled internet connection
• ran setup, closed the program after its start up.
• Blocked internet traffic for the executive files in Private Firewall.
I almost forgot that this Raxco stuff puts its '.exe shit' into three folders on 64-bit systems:
C:\Program Files\Raxco\PerfectDisk
C:\Program Files (x86)\Raxco\PD13.0_Pro_Install\x86\program files\Raxco\PerfectDisk
C:\Program Files (x86)\Raxco\PD13.0_Pro_Install\x64\Program Files 64\Raxco\PerfectDisk

-2-
• Added to host file what was mentioned.
• Ran xanax bat-file, which added another line to host file
• enabled internet connection.
• Registered license. Clicked away some nonsense.
• Restarted proggy, checked About. All seems fine.

Well...

Unlikely that I will become a Perfect Disc fan, but I will give it a go.

Thanks guys.

only a question: which one is the best between Raxco Perfect Disk and O&O Defrag?

My procedure is this (a mix of one of Fallon and november_ra1n):

1. Disabled internet connection

2. Ran setup, closed the program after its start up (= In fact, the program must necessarily start first time)

3. Block access "PerfectDisk.exe" with your own firewall: if program not start for first time, kaspersky firewall does not see the file "PerfectDisk.exe" in application rules menu.

4. Close your antivirus or firewall

5. Open "PD 13.bat" file as admin privilege

6. Reactivate antivirus or firewall

7. Re-open PerfectDisk

8. Enabled net

9. Done!

After registering with the key while it was not blacklisted I only disabled auto-update within the app and it is still working without any hosts altering....

Maybe it only checks key on update...

Also in registry I have one more value LExtra, maybe thats key confirmation or something....

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Raxco\PerfectDisk\13.0]"LicenseKey"="CQwPl2AKfHO0rHfZ6PrGjz4KtRD14b61uxSqB0gqFQfgeG3H39dF3PV4i8gnLU8c""License"=hex:03,09,20,93,be,09,bc,ab,83,74,1c,ab,1e,d3,5c,cd"LExtra"="LIQkbGHtooKlvvvLVw1QYQ=="

More and more, programs need cracks instead of keygen to work properly, because of the internet check.

I've tested both and for my usage O&O Defrag 17 is much better (personal opinion). :o

See posts #69 and #77 for links to O&O. The server version doesn't hurt and is a plus when you have a small network.
