  1. WinCatalog 2019 19.3.0.1203 WinCatalog 2019 - Automatically create a catalog of all files, stored on your disks (HDDs, DVDs, CDs, network drives and other media storage devices): WinCatalog will automatically grab ID3 tags for music files, Exif tags and thumbnails for photos, thumbnails and basic information for video files, e-books, contents of archive files, thumbnails for images (pictures) and PDF files, ISO files, and much more. Organize your file catalog, using virtual folders, tags (categories) and user defined fields, and find files in seconds, using powerful search, even when disks are not connected to the computer. Also easily use WinCatalog as a duplicate file finder. Your disk catalog can be automatically updated through Windows task scheduler. And no matter how huge your collection of disks is - you will always have your file catalog on hand, perfectly organized. Features: An ability to add disks, folders, and individual files to your catalog All types of files are indexed, including extracting additional information from various types of files (archives, photos, images, video, music, e-books, PDF, hmtl, txt) Unlimited number of disks, folders, and files Adding virtual folders and moving items between them Managing tags and associating them with individual files, disks, or folders Searching using simple natural queries or powerful search operators An ability to filter search results Duplicate file finder - an ability to find duplicate files by matching one or more fields or a check sum Multiple searches at the same time Exporting your catalog into XML, HTML or CSV (MS Excel) report and printing Basic automation via the command line arguments Updating disks when the content has changed Browsing a catalog in a grid view or a thumbnails view Properties panel displays significant info about files, disks, and folders Launching files or copying them to another drive directly from WinCatalog Insert Disk dialog saves your time Adding contacts and managing loaned disks Managing locations to find disks easily Compatibility Changelog: v19.3 (2019-12-03) This is a maintenance update fixing the issue when the size of the disk entry (root entry on the disk) was turned to zero after updating the disk if the disk contains no changes. The issue affected only root entries - sizes of folders remained correct. To fix the size issue and display the correct sizes please update the affected drives. We apologize for the inconvenience. v19.2 (2019-11-14) Now in addition to other types that were supported previously, WinCatalog can grab thumbnails for Adobe Photoshop (.psd, .psb) files, Encapsulated PostScript files (.eps), and for Scalable Vector Graphic files (.svg). The new release also contains some other minor improvements: the “Open in the associated app” menu item was added to the context menu for the File Operation Queue. Now you can easily ensure that the files you’re going to delete are the right files just by two mouse clicks. Scanning speed metric was added to the Progress window, now WinCatalog displays the real-time processing speed when scanning or updating a drive. Created and Last modified dates were added for disk records. A file system has these dates for files and folders but not for disks. WinCatalog uses the earliest Created date among all files and folders on the disk as the Created date for disk and the latest Modified date among all files and folders as the Modified date for the disk record. Updating the disks is required to show these dates. The command-line interface was updated: the ability to pass the scanning profile for the -AddNew command (-ProfileId or -pid) was added. The scanning profile ID required for this parameter may be found on top of the General Scanning page for each scanning profile. For the Update command, as previously, WinCatalog reuses the scanning profile stored on the Volume Info page of the Properties for the given disk or the folder. The “search syntax error” was fixed when multiple brackets were used in the search queries. Other minor improvements. v19.1 (2019-08-29) The ability to enter Path to scan when adding a folder (via Add Folder button) was added. Now instead of selecting the path via the Shell Tree, you can just type or paste the path to scan. This may be especially helpful for adding network drives. Cloud folders friendly (part 2): now WinCatalog can keep some meta-data (catalog-related settings, like the last backup date or additional search options) outside the catalog file. If the new feature is enabled, WinCatalog does not modify the catalog file when you perform a search or create a backup copy. As a result, this does not cause the catalog file uploading to the cloud if the catalog file is stored in a cloud folder like OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. You can activate this option on the Administrative tab of the program options (“Catalog” button -> Options -> Administrative -> Catalog related settings). Command line “-CatalogPath” parameter allows now skipping the root folder name (“Catalog”) and correctly handles double slash (‘\\’) which allows passing network paths. Slash, double slash, and semicolon may now be replaced by {@slash}, {@dslash}, and {@semicolon} when passing in “-CatalogPath” parameter. Examples may be found here. Size column now has an extra space on the right (which increases the readability). The ability to change the size of the thumbnails in the Thumbnails view was added. The thumbnail size may vary from 50 to 2500 pixels. Please check the view switcher in the top right corner of the grid/thumbnails view. You can also use CTRL+Mouse Wheel or a Touchpad to change the size of the thumbnails in the Thumbnails view. More details are here. Added an ability to change the size of the thumbnails to be updated via the Thumbnail page of the Properties. Click the Options button to change this value. Two new drive types were added: SD Card and MicroSD. WinCatalog does not detect these drives automatically, but you can switch the drive type manually on the Volume Info tab for any drive. WinCatalog 2014 8.0.7.4

WinCatalog 2014 8.0.7.4 WinCatalog 2014 - is versatile cataloguer software for disks, files, folders and any non-file objects. It is not always easy to track where some files are located in your computer especially if you have a large collection of CDs and DVDs. If you are one of those users, then it definitely pays off to have the right tool for working with such a task. WinCatalog is software utility designed to help you find documents and data from your computer by building an index that offers you instant access to them. This program can be mastered even by less experienced users because it sports a straightforward interface. WinCatalog is a truly full-featured tool, so it would be natural to expect drag and drop support in such an app. Although the developer didn’t include this option, it made the process of adding files to the list pretty simple. You can add a fixed or removable disk, specific folders or individual files to the catalog. Virtual folders and customs items can be created pretty easily. The app works fast and it is able to display the contents of your folders properly by preserving the hierarchical folder structure. It remembers the files’ attributes (e.g. path, size, and dates of creation) and you can also preview them in the right panel. WinCatalog can perform searches throughout the entire collection thanks to its built-in search engine. Simply type in the file name or use additional filters for more accurate results such as size, tags, locations and date. It includes multi-tabbed support and this means you can work with multiple searches at the same time. It also possible to add tags to your items, find duplicated files, add contacts, manage loaned disks and copy files to another drive directly from WinCatalog. Moreover, each catalogue can be exported to HTML or CSV file. You may customize its looks by switching to either grid or thumbnails view modes. Overall, WinCatalog is a pretty useful solution for all users who want to find any documents on the go. It packs many useful features that make the entire search process easier and faster.
