LOIC SETUP GUIDE

HIVEMIND mode will connect your client to an IRC server so it can be controlled

remotely. Think of it like a voluntary botnet. They might even make your client

do naughty things, so beware.

Note: It does NOT allow remote administration of your machine, or anything

like that, it is just control of LOIC itself.

Windows

XP users MUST get the Half-Open connections fix first.

Download MS .NET Framework 3.5 or 4.0 and install it.

Download Hivemind LOIC and unzip it to your desktop.

Start LOIC with the LOIC.EXE

Caving to pressure from supporters, PayPal releases WikiLeaks’ funds [update: PayPal down]

UPDATE: As of 12:10am PST on December 9, Paypal.com is widely unreachable according to our own checks and numerous reports on Twitter. We are unsure of the cause for this downtime, but it is very likely that it is under a DDoS attack from WikiLeaks supporters.

The-homepage-of-Wikileaks-006-300x180.jpg

In a reversal of course, PayPal has released funds remaining in an account associated with WikiLeaks according to a post on PayPal’s blog.

Last week, a statement from PayPal indicated, the company had suspended the account following claims by the U.S. that the activities of WikiLeaks violated the law. According to the report, PayPal acted of their own volition, without being contacted by any government agency.

Further, the spokesman for PayPal indicated that the company had “permanently restricted the account used by WikiLeaks due to a violation of the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy, which states that our payment service cannot be used for any activities that encourage, promote, facilitate or instruct others to engage in illegal activity.”

Now it appears attacks from the supporters of WikiLeaks have caused PayPal to re-think their position.

From the PayPal blog post:

“While the account will remain restricted, PayPal will release all remaining funds in the account to the foundation that was raising funds for WikiLeaks.”

“We understand that PayPal’s decision has become part of a broader story involving political, legal and free speech debates surrounding WikiLeaks’ activities. None of these concerns factored into our decision. Our only consideration was whether or not the account associated with WikiLeaks violated our Acceptable Use Policy and regulations required of us as a global payment company. Our actions in this matter are consistent with any account found to be in violation of our policies”

Release of the funds come after a slew of denial-of-service (DOS) attacks earlier this week aimed at WikiLeaks’ providers. The providers have refused to conduct any business with WikiLeaks after the U.S. government stepped up its pressure on the site, claiming the site’s actions are in violation of U.S. law.

What are your thoughts? Is PayPal right to reverse course and release WikiLeaks’ funds? Do you think WikiLeaks has violated any U.S. laws, and if so, which ones?

I don't think the attacks will stop till paypal etc. guys keep Wikileaks account shut.

I read somewhere that Anonymous have said that from now on, DDoS will not be the only way, they will now also hack the site by other ways and leak information from the sites. :D

Also, the head of this Operation Payback has been traced to Sydney. :(

this is pretty much pointless. the guy was arrested because he is a rapist. plain and simple. paypal shut down the wikileak account because the site break the TOS when they broke the law. they where using US servers rmember at the time. another plain and simple. if you want to donate money to them then send a check or money order. i bet you almost all these dumbies doing the attacks have never sent any money to wikileak. this jackazz rapist is a Social Democrat. that is what the former communist party members changed their party too. they are not friends of the western world. they are bent on destroying the west. they have put more troops from the usa, nato and others in danger. they have endanger people that try to do the right thing and stop the evil taliban and the other murderist terrorist from killing others. this jackazz should be hang. plain and simple.

the hackers and lets face it mostly whanabees should stay in their line and go after the copyright police instead. by backing this jackazz rapist they are destroying their gains in the copyright fight.

though i doubt sweden will ever convict the rapist since they didnt want to send a convicted rapist back to the usa for justice.

@myidisbb: You should read some of the previous posts. You will see how thousands of authorities have been running behind a single man for having "unprotected sex" that's being falsely advertised as rape. I think the people in US should take it as a war against wrong doings and stop supporting what the leaders are showing off to people. Wikileaks has only shown the truth without taking any sides of any of the countries.

As for hackers, this is a war, all the pirates all over the internet are supporting Wikileaks, even Americans, it doesn't matter even if the DDoSer is a 12 year old kid.

He is not a rapist.

Info disclosure does as much harm as much good in publicity of many hidden wrong, but most importantly shows, that more hysteria comes to be accepted as fact "of endangerments"

His political views- none of mine business

He did not break law.

Western/eastern worlds... so last century of a view, but most importantly he has nothing to do with it apart from showing it to the world.

Hacker and wannabes stand for freedom of speech, the one, that you believe to be defender of? by silencing?

though i doubt sweden will ever convict the rapist since they didnt want to send a convicted rapist back to the usa for justice.

...have nothing to add here...

not taking sides or anything, but wikileaks never broke the law. he has the freedom of press, especially when hosted on US servers, so he can publish anything he wants. now, the person who actually stole the cables and released them to him - that's a different story ;)

using the pentagon paper ruling will not work. the site receive stolen data. dmca also takes effect. law broken. the guy is scum. his elitist got the best of him and now he in trouble.

anyway, welcome back on posting, now we have a posting we can add points too. ei people here is your chance to get him to 99

oh, i didnt realize you was that old. i was thinking you was in your late teens :P

i believe the hackers and others that are against the crazy music and movie groups etc are going to in up hurting they cause and case by backing this creep. no one wants to be connected to him. attacking the payment systems during the holidays is a terrible idea. if this keeps up this will be the end of the european pirate party.

A wise man said this:

It's just a coincidence that the day after the US declared war on him, this charge was made. Also a coincidence that in the couple of weeks since then, Amazon and other servers dumped Wikileaks, PayPal dumped it, a few countries banned it, and American politicians made threats against the NY Times for espionage.

And this is what we know about the so called rape victim:

"Sarah" was already a well-known ‘radical feminist’. In her 30s, she had travelled the world following various fashionable causes. While a research assistant at a local university she had not only been the protegee of a militant feminist *academic, but held the post of ‘campus sexual equity officer’. Fighting male discrimination in all forms, including sexual harassment, was her forte...

...How must "Sarah" have felt to *discover that the man she’d taken to her bed three days before had already taken up with another woman? *Furious? Jealous? Out for revenge?...

...Earlier this year, "Sarah" is reported to have posted a telling entry on her website, which she has since removed. But a copy has been retrieved and widely circulated on the internet. Entitled ‘7 Steps to Legal Revenge’, it explains how women can use courts to get their own back on unfaithful lovers. Step 7 says: ‘Go to it and keep your goal in sight. Make sure your victim suffers just as you did.’ (The highlighting of text is "Sarah’s" own.)

If you read the charges about why he was charged you would know that the charge does not hold up in USA but in Sweden. Not wearing a condom during consensual sex is NOT illegal in USA or most other countries, in fact the one and only case I know about is Sweden apparently. The woman he chose to have sex with is just a vindictive feminist who will look for any means possible to get revenge on her ex lovers. If anything she should be charged and sent to an asylum. Your definition of rapist is exceedingly skewed as a backer of USA, I must say.

The way Americans govern is through massive secrecy and hiding everything from the citizenry, so maybe it seems like the normal thing to do, why blame others for exposing their secrets? Count how many separate agencies there are in USA alone for the sole purpose of covering up secrets and intelligence gathering for domestic threats. Nothing they leak is unintentional, its all an illusion and trickery to force some new invasive law upon American citizens. Just like how they fooled everyone into thinking the patriot act was necessary, and Presidential control of the Internet.

Your opinion on the matter is duly noted though and I accept what you say.

[there was another european country law where a guy at a party wake up and found a young female giving him a blow job. he had her charged with rape. it was against the law to have sex with a sleeping person.

Unjust measures (Framing him on a repeated and rather lame attempt) justify unjust chaos! Fat VISA M..   and Paypal gone unfair- let them pay for "corporate protocol" following and disrespecting a freedom of speech

so you think a few statutes on stolen property and copyright should overwrite out First Amendment rights? that's first btw, top of the list and also known as the greatest right we have in this country.

sorry, not buying it :nono:

There are truths and US truths, but even EU truths make me sick

Wikileaks has done brave job- left to simple users of Internet to defend freedoms (u dont wanna quote US/alike mydish)  comments
