I've been trying to get those two programs to work on my system for a long time now. Whenever I install both, my PC starts to hang/freeze forever when starting up (after welcome screen). Only one time...ONE TIME!!..It worked, lol. What's the problem with this, mates? Btw, OS is Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

Try booting into 'safe mode' to disable both these Programs from 'Windows startUp.' Next, boot normally and run any one program to allow exclusions to the other program before exiting and then shutting down the Program completely. Run the next program to allow exclusions to the first program.

In NOD32 'Scheduler/Planner,' temorarily disable the 2 entries of 'automatic startup file check.'

Reboot and post back for further instructions (have to rush to work, now.)

I've actually tried adding exclusions for both the programs and I believe there's only been 1 time that it worked. Even during that one time, it started to act up. Anyways, since I couldn't get it to work, I started to use ESET Smart Security. Do you think this is a better option (security suite), mate?

I recollect Agnitum and ESET buried all their conflicts long
ago. Do you have any HIPS program running on your system that might be causing conflicts?

As a Purist, I tend to believe that a suite such as the ESS robs the User of granularity being by design . . . . . . . . . . . far too restrictive where possibilities of customization is concerned.

However, ESS gives the User no headaches with regard to program configurations. If you dig suites, go ahead with ESS by all means - just don't forget to uninstall your Outpost Pro before you do so.

Er...As far as I know, I'm not using any hips program, mate, lol. But, I actually do like suites a bit more. It's a little easier handling all your security needs in one place. ESET Smart Security is working great for me as of now. But, for comparison's sake, is ESET's firewall better or Agnitum's? Btw, I used automatic mode with ESET's firewall. Do you think that's all right?

That's weird. Maybe because it's Enterprise and not Ultimate? :dunno: How's it working out for you though, as in overall security-wise?

Just my 2 cents . . . . . . . . . . wonder if there's some other 'Security Program/s' running on your system. It's also possible that if you've removed the Program/s and the leftovers were not completely uninstalled.

No suite (except NIS) could hope to outperform
a specialist Program - seriously, there's no comparison here. :nono:

Nothing wrong with going
with 'Automatic mode' in ESS's initial learning stage. ;)

Nope, It's not got to do with 'Ultim
ate' v/s 'Enterprise' - this just isn't a Windows issue. :D

The l
ast known issue between Agnitum and ESET was way back . . . . . . . during NOD32 V3 days.

The NOD32 3.0.695.0 you mention is a pretty stable release - I was referring to a version released nearly 3 years ago, NOD32 3.0.551.0 ^_^

In the second half of 2007, the release of NOD32 3.0.551.0 did not go well with the Agnitum firewall. At that time, the Outpost Pro firewall version was 6.0.2168.211.415.268. Matter of fact the release of the V3 decl
ared by ESET as a 'final' was nothing but a beta and most of us were suckered into beta testing it for most part of 2007.

I never experienced problems between OP & Eset.

Tried

?

First install OP then Eset, add Eset to Selfdefense Exclusions in OP.

Good Luck
