The Headphone Jack May Survive on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10

Possible headphone jack cutout on the Note 10

Leaving aside the plethora of upgrades under the hood and the long list of new features, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is also expected to introduce one major change that may disappoint a number of fans of the South Korean tech giant.

The Note 10 could give up on the headphone jack once and for all, and this could signal the beginning of a new trend for Samsung flagships.

In other words, if the Note 10 comes without a headphone jack, the Galaxy S11 due in early 2020 could remove this feature as well, with the majority of other models to follow in their footsteps.

But according to cases published by Mobile Fun and courtesy of Olixar, this may actually not happen.All-in on wireless headphonesSome of the cases feature what appears to be a cutout for the headphone jack in the same place where it is right now on the Galaxy Note 9. Obviously, there’s always a chance that the cases aren’t necessarily accurate since they arrive some two months before the device is expected to launch.

And what’s more, the cutout could have a different purpose, albeit the most recent speculation on the Galaxy Note 10 indicated that Samsung would rely exclusively on the USB Type-C port and wireless headphones for replacing the traditional 3.5mm connector.

The Note 10 is projected to go live in August, and it turns out that this year Samsung will launch not one, but two different configurations. The Note 10 Pro could feature a screen as large as 6.7 inches and come with upgraded specs. Both models, however, will boast a fingerprint sensor integrated into the screen a la Samsung Galaxy S10.

Full information will be provided at the official unveiling of the device, which is expected to take place in New York in early August.
