Microsoft Store for Business apps fail to install on Windows 10 May 2019 Update, fix coming next week 

 

 

Microsoft started rolling out the Windows 10 May 2019 Update yesterday, and as usual the build now shipping to the public still has a couple of known issues. In an effort to increase transparency, the software giant also launched a new Windows release health dashboard where everyone can learn about bugs affecting all Windows versions, but unfortunately the information about the May 2019 Update seems to be slightly incomplete.

 

Indeed, a known issue preventing the installation of UWP apps from the Microsoft Store for Business or Intune on the May 2019 Update is currently not listed on the website. Microsoft has been aware of the issue since quite some time, as it was discussed in a presentation at the MMSMOA event for IT Pros earlier this month.

 

 

 

Michael Niehaus, Principal Program Manager at Microsoft confirmed this week that the issue is still there in the build 18362.116 that IT Pros can now use to begin targeted deployments of the May 2019 Update. However, a fix should be available next week on May 28.
