After quite a bit of anticipation and perhaps even more leaks, HMD Global finally made the X7 official earlier today in China.

The phone will sport a 6.18-inch screen - the largest Nokia phone yet - and will sit at the top of HMD's midrange lineup.

The display on the phone will be one of Nokia's PureView screens, with an FHD+ resolution and an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. Round back, the phone sports a dual camera setup with 12MP + 13MP sensors. This is one of the few Nokia phones with OIS, so camera performance will likely be among the best Nokia has to offer.

The package is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 710, and the phone will feature either 4 or 6GB of RAM. Internal storage will be capped at 64 or 128GB, with support for up to 400GB expansion via a microSD card. The battery of the X7 comes in at 3,500mAh and it will support fast charging for up to 18W.

The phone's starting price in China is ¥1,699, equivalent to $245. There are no details yet on when the phone will be available outside China, but if HMD's history is any indicator, it should come to international markets as the Nokia 7.1 Plus sometime soon.
