Windows 10 Spring Creators Update is going to break Avast Endpoint Protect Suite (ETA April ??, 2018)

UPDATE: Windows 10 Spring Creators Update is incompatible with the Avast Endpoint Protection Client running Windows 10, and it WILL NOT BREAK Avast. When the Service Pack is released, the user will get a prompt asking them to remove the Avast.  If you do not remove Avast, then the update will abort.  There will be NO patch to make it compatible. Avast is currently working on a mass uninstall method, however, I have no ETA. Avast users will be provided Avast Business licenses for those devices matching existing purchased EP licenses. The Spring Update was announced today by Microsoft with the ETA in April ??, 2018 (Version 1803 – Redstone 4 below):

The Avast Endpoint Protection / Suite / Plus (all flavors) has an End-Of-Life for December 31st, 2018, so migrations to the Avast Business still need to occur:

Avast Business Antivrus Consoles and Installers  (30 day trial embedded into all installers)

UPDATE: When the Windows 10 Spring Creators Update is released and you are still using Avast Endpoint Protection (or Plus, Suite, or Suite Plus), you will receive a prompt to remove the Avast Endpoint Protection. If you do not remove it, then the update will NOT install.

So, it is not an immediate issue, however, the End-Of-Life for Avast Endpoint Protection is December 31st, 2018, so migrations to Avast Business need to occur!

I have no ETA on the mass migration tool.
