Firefox Quantum is the latest web browser developed by the Mozilla Foundation, it is powered by the Servo web browser layout engine and the incredibly fast and smooth Photon UI. Firefox Quantum is over twice as fast as the old Gecko powered Firefox, built on a completely overhauled core engine with brand new technology stolen from Mozilla's advanced research group, and graced with a beautiful new look designed to get out of the way and let you do what you do best: surf a ton of pages, open a zillion tabs, all guilt free because Firefox Quantum uses less memory than the competition. Your computer will thank you.

Thanks to ARMOUR for the update.

pref("dom.popup_maximum",0);
pref("privacy.popups.showBrowserMessage",false);
  • oload.xyz (which now redirect to oload.win)
  • uploadhaven.com
  • zippyshare.com

I'm wonder if you know how to block the popups on these websites ? What else need to be modify ?

Unless there is a solution with another addon (but which one) ? I don't think uMatrix is able to correct this kind of trouble.

Apparently, Mozilla has start to looking on this matter (with one addon such as In-Page Pop-up Reporter) but I imagine it will take a very long process. You can send a report but for now, it doesn't seem able to block any popups.

I can suggest filters for Zippyshare — don't use either of the other 2 sites.

BTW, which ad. blocker are you running?

uMatrix is configure to block a lot of things but it doesn't seem to be enough (in that case). Then at this moment, no one @dcs18 because there is too many choice (AdGuard, etc).

By the past (several years ago), it was AdBlock Plus (or AdBlock Edge but this one doesn't seem to exist anymore).

Almost a month ago, I had discover one tutorial about uBlock Origin but I didn't save it (as bookmarks and for now, it's lost)...  To resume, I don't why but I dislike the GUI (uBlock Origin is too complicated ? Probably) but now perhaps I could try again. Because I had learn a few things (with the tutorial).

pref("dom.disable_beforeunload",true);
pref("dom.disable_open_during_load",true);
pref("dom.popup_allowed_events",'');
## It's just a few examples because there are several settings.
## Just search with "dom.disable_"

Unless there is another way (by the page about:config) ?

Any advice @dcs18 ? Do you recommand the latest AdGuard_Beta or AdGuard_Nightly ? Or another software ?

I'm wonder it will be good enough to just install the AdGuard_Addon (for Firefox) ? Unless it will need the complete software to work's fine ?

Have yet to find any ad. blocker that beats AdGuard (Windows and Android, as well.)

As a creature of habit, I prefer the Nightlies of every app. — however, have been bitten too often, by the AdGuard Nightlies and hence decided to stick with AdGuard Beta (the present 6.3.974.3223 Beta has proved more effective than the 6.2.437.2171 final.)

The add-on does work without the AdGuard program — however, even with the program installed the add-on has a few shortcomings (regardless of whether used in standalone Extension mode or in Integration Mode.)

Using the AdGuard program exclusively (without the add-on) works best, for me — the only drawback is an imperceptible slowdown (in milliseconds) which most folks would never be able to discern.
