By the way, @xanax I found that the registry permission method is not effective any more, from long time. Is it my fault? I supposed the problem was in script with admin rights, but I did another experiment and had no luck again. :o

Webroot Secure anywhere report this tool as trojan but it is surely working for now. Do I need to worry?

By the way, I've found a trial reset for all version of i.d.m. Please add this to main screen:

last time (2-3 weeks ago) when i check script which use process monitor to catch right reg keys and "lock" them, miss one or two, so of course it's not work, need to be fixed (if this method still work) but no time for that

Witch patch is the copy you think `?

It's highly unlikely that one of @The Hidden 2000 @Progressive would copy each others patches and post it here?

It must be a misunderstanding! i smell hatred here. ;)

I doubt it was the reason! So, he messed the releases and it is interesting which release is Build number 1?

Yesterday, I was wondering this too. I right clicked on the actual installers (retail and/or trial installer) and under details I saw "6.30.7.1".. I wonder if that sort of closes this circle of 1 - 2 - 3 - hahahaha...!!!

My patcher is ported The Hidden 2000 v9 patcher, not v10. In those days (11.12.2017), The Hidden 2000 did not release new version of his patcher. I repaired some pattern and improved hex searching.

I'm wonder if there is something wrong with Windows Firewall Control_v5.0.2.0 ? Unless the trouble was the update (manual IDM_v6.30 Build 6 ---> IDM_v6.30 Build 7) ?

Despite the rules (one allow and one block (none IP missing) and none change), IDM was blocked by the firewall.

Then I ignore the cause but apparently the solution was to recreate the both rules.

About the patch, it seem's to be good until now (it was posted when IDM_v6.28 was published by Xanax or D10N4 (according to the button About)).

PS : Yes I know I had just discover the new topic (about Windows Firewall Control_v5.1.0.0).

@xanax

Here is my little discovery may that help:

1. Every one dummy license which you are using initially to monitor your two unique keys also responsible for the ban (and you check this by running IDM unprotected from black list log) - Every One registration is banned immediately at first running! During this monitoring IDM is already banned with additional log somewhere else.

2. Here is how I made my success.

1) I saved my two unique keys related to ban to return them later.

2) Uninstall IDM, Reboot, Clean left keys

3) Install IDM

4) Exit the app, register with reg file dummy license. Merge my reg file with my unique keys.

5) Set the permission usually for my unique keys and other two public keys.

6) Finally IDM never had report for black list and it running without nota bene.

EDIT: Checked this method - no luck again.

@Ecarion do not block IDM with any software! Otherwise IDM will disturb you with message the variety of "fake serial used or blocked connection to the server".

Tested only on Win 10 x64 and IDM 6.30 Build 7 (Retail)

Note: maybe there is possibility where IDMan.exe will be to short open to process monitor catch keys we need if you use it on high speed internet

then try change download test sample to some bigger instead current on line 117 ( https://download.sysinternals.com/files/ProcessExplorer.zip ) which is only 1.84 MB

Well, I've blocked IDM on 2 different computers running 2 different software — AdGuard on Windows 8.1 and Simple DNSCrypt on Windows 7.

In the the last 8 months, have never seen the "fake serial used or blocked connection to the server".

My PC is running Windows 10.

AdGuard and Simple DNSCrypt do not discriminate against Windows 10 — both software work fine.

I am loading all available strings shared in filter list for Adguard, you will be warned by IDM for server connection once. Later at some time again.

Every tutorial published at The Playground is audited thoroughly and all the methods for fixing IDM ARE just as effective if not more, than the AdGuard and Simple DNSCrypt methods:—

  1. After duly following the directions laid down at the respective AdGuard and Simple DNSCrypt tutorials, the "fake serial used or blocked connection to the server" popup has never ever been reported — not even by one single sensible User.
  2. Once implemented, Users of the AdGuard and/or Simple DNSCrypt methods would never be known, to complain of ever having to re-fix their copy of IDM — it needs fixing only one, single time in the beginning and then it just keeps on working and working (personally, have never once even bothered to check my activation status in the past 8 months.)

Actually, if ever there was an occasion to the contrary — it was been due to a failure in following the directions laid down at the respective tutorial/s.
