[2xSolved] Various issues with posting pics on nsane

Looks like a new problem with pictures, that don't show up !

Have no idea why, since all of them are linked to my POSTIMAGE account.

Your image links have a 'space' attached to them which is messing the link up and that's why images are not showing.

Hi  @Undertaker  :hi:    Long time not to see ...

I let PostImage service copy the link to my clipboard, and then just pasted it here.

Could you maybe suggest what I could do in particular to get rid of that space ?  (I'll try reposting all pics in the meantime, hope it helps...)

@Undertaker , reposting link of the pic (copied by PostImage service to my clipboard) directly below the line of text (so probably without that unwanted “space“) changed nothing.

Is there anything I can do more to make pics showing up ?

Your links had bad syntaxe:

https://s25.postimg.org/wcf9kw52n/donutss.jpg%C2%A0
https://s25.postimg.org/rdrr6qbnz/yogurt.jpg%C2%A0

Fixed :)

 This is a test post

checking whether I am able to post pics sucessfully

I'm trying to repost here the very same pic, which was already sucessfuly posted in another thread....

https://s25.postimg.org/8142s1elb/przyja_psa_i_kota.jpg

@jordan4x

As you see THIS TIME  also something prevents the pic from showing, even the very same source has been used.

Looks like the culprit lies on nSane side.

I tried and failed to post a pic in RSU.

*  *  *

This is one of the wrong links from above.... It has that bad syntaxe.

https://s25.postimg.org/plysbhcrz/french_fries.jpg%C2%A0

The problem is I posted it in the correct form :  https://s25.postimg.org/plysbhcrz/french_fries.jpg

I suppose “%C2%A0” must have been added by the forum software (bug?) automatically.

Maybe, but it is not happening to me!

1- When you want to post a pic, right-click on it and select "Copy image address"

Do not copy the image itself. Always copy image address

hby5h6x.png

2- Back to your post, right-click and select "Paste"

That's it. This is working fine for me whatever the pic host is.

@jordan4x  I'm temporary limited to my Android tablet with on-screen keyboard only. So no right-click option and such.

OF COURSE  I'VE NEVER COPIED THE IMAGE ITSELF  !

Take a look at this pic - this is the page of this particular pic at PostImage with all links.

https://s25.postimg.org/dlr4g2wov/Scs_2018-01-28_004411.jpg

When the chosen link is clicked/touched it gets automatically copied to the clipboard.  And this link is then pasted in my post.

I proceeded exactly the same way in case of photo thread and here. The only difference is that post in photo thread is 2 days older than this one here.

It is so simple procedure that there is no room for screwing something on my end.

Additionally @WALLONN7 mentioned in Forum software bugs thread that he experienced very similar issues lately.

looks like the problem persists.....

Why don't you try the in-forum attachment files option?

Edit. Grumpy cat is happy that your problem doesn't happen to me.

Attachements are stored locally on nsane servers and also limited to 10 MB in total

You need to clear it up every now & then to keep your quota usable

But this has also the disadvantage of deleting pics from posts

Forum attachement option might be a good temporary workaround.

However frequent posters and especially posters of many pics need to base on image hosting sites.

Forum attachement option is too limited in the total capasity.

Now something strange here :

@anakin206  even you probably used the forum capasity option - pics in your original posts are marked as broken  and as a result - don't show up as well.

Here is a proof :

https://s25.postimg.org/zftrtsdzj/Scs_2018-01-28_081920.jpg    [edited and working now]

What's even more interesting they actually did showed up in my editing window, when I quoted your post.

Proof here :

https://s25.postimg.org/7sh2fol33/Scs_2018-01-28_082213.jpg    [edited and working now]

Any suggestions as to why is this happening ?

EDIT  :  after loading this page another time anakin's pics got finally loaded in his main post too.

I've just posted a new topic here .

For testing purposes I hottlinked the pics there and .... it actually worked unlike those pics outsourced from picture hostings.

FYI your links are broken to me. I had to remove "%C2%A0" after ".jpg" in order to view correctly the images you posted.

Edit. I've removed "%C2%A0" from your post I quoted and now they are fine for me. Clicking on them take me to the capture you want to show us.

I just underwent the second round of tests for  all my 3 mobile browsers :  Chrome, FF and Samsung Beta (Chrome based too).

My results are the SAME IN ALL OF THEM -->  all links are broken indeed, however the part to be removed is shorter  :  ‘‘%20‘‘ (when INSERT OTHER MEDIA option is being used).

The unwanted part is longer  :  "%C2%A0" though, when pic links are being pasted directly to the post.

It's good I know the workaround, but editing the code each time I'm going to post a pic would be a pain ....

I wonder why it's being happening lately ?    What would be a culprit ?    Any ideas  ?

Maybe something is broken...

Have you tried to full uninstall them and reinstall them?!...

Then, try one more time...

Full uninstall of what ?    My browsers ?  (all of them broken in the same time ?  hmmm...)

Please, clarify what you mean.

@WALLONN7,  @DKT27 suggests this error might be related to Android. Did you experienced this issue in Android or Windows ?

Yep, browsers... Once there are apps which inject their codes into browsers, it may be the case... In any case, we must discard all possibilities, one by one...

It's a possibility... I agree...

Windows on my side... It has some persistent integrity violations... I can't fix them... But unlike you I had problem with imgur(dot)com only...

It's time to resetting / formatting!!!
