Currently using 56, but I am wondering if it's worth upgrading to 56.0.2. What is new? Will my legacy extensions still work? I have been reluctant to upgrade to 57, cuz I know I would lose way too many extensions. A lot of them don't have Web Extensions available. I am noticing some weird jank issues is what you call it, I guess. The browser (with E10's and servo enabled) seems super fast and smooth for awhile, but eventually it slows down after prolonged usage and pages kind of jerk. It's like everything is on a couple seconds delay. I am wondering if that's cuz I turned off hardware accleration, have way too many tabs open, or it's more likely a legacy extension causing issues. Something like Tab Groups could be causing it. Is there a good Tab Groups replacement for 57 yet? I also heard something about Youtube causing issues with either 56 or 57. Let me know. Thanks!

One summary about the news :

  • Disable Form Autofill completely on user request
  • Fix for video-related crashes on Windows 7
  • Correct detection for 64-bit GSSAPI authentication
  • Fix for shutdown crash

To resume, very often @mancode20 it's better to don't miss one update. Because mostly it will resolve bugs and security issue. And you can check them by following this adress :

https://www.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/notes/
### To give a few examples, it will redirect :
# https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/56.0.2/releasenotes/

That's right about Youtube because the issue exist... At least when you had one addon such as Umatrix (but the ads is another trouble if you don't block them) and it's visible in the mode Full Screen (F11 with Firefox).

I don't use Tab Groups then I won't have any advice on this matter.
