My apologies if any info is inaccurate or has become so at the time of reading. How to install: - Disconnect from Internet - Unpack and install the program (run setup) - Run the program and register with serial through the Menu / Enter Key dialogue - Always block the program in your firewall! Note: The serial is now blacklisted so even the portable version will be rejected if network access is available to TeraCopy. If TeraCopy ever recognizes the serial as blacklisted (by checking home) then all TeraCopy serials and installs will automatically revert to free mode even if uninstalled and/or reverted to a prior 3.0 version (although TeraCopy 2 still works). DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN!!!! However, in the event that it does (this is the real trick, and the impossible-to-find protection info & method): - Use Revo Uninstaller to thoroughly uninstall TeraCopy - Use Trial-Reset 4.0 Final Fixed to erase all entries for Obsidium - Find the hidden folder "C:\Users\<username_here>\.obs32" and either rename/delete that folder or the file "{3A180837-4BE9D673-B31A4BA0-7700D3BD}.Metrics" contained within that folder - Reboot - Reinstall TeraCopy properly! How to block with Windows Firewall: - Windows Control Panel / System / Firewall - Advanced settings - Outbound Rules - New Rule... - Choose Program | Program Path - Browse to TeraCopy folder [Program Files (x86) / TeraCopy] and select TERACOPY.EXE and choose to block its activity - Name the rule something like "TeraCopy Block #1" - Create another new rule for TERACOPYSERVICE.EXE Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
