Ad blocking is under attack

Is your version of Firefox allowing you the capability of promoting your add-ons to your pseudo status bar (instead of the Navigation Bar?)

Is it possible to do so with other addons also, or it requires something like CTR to do it?

If its possible natively to have the addons in status bar, I can check it.

But if it requires CTR to add this functionality, I don't know.

This an extremely important factor (for me) since the pseudo status bar can be hidden and then completely disabled (so that Clients cannot screw around with the add-ons.)

Since I don't use CTR nor have I ever had a need to do such thing, I don't know.

But I would reiterate it once again, your customers do not need adguard browser addon.

Only the sys admin, in this case - you, need access to it. You just have to transfer the rules to your customers Adguard for Windows Program.

There is another thing why I'm not recommending it for your customers, which I reserved for our TV session.

Nah, nah — there's no question of Clients being granted access in any form.

Not only access, it should not even be installed in the first place in customer's PC

This will then be taken care of itself:-

Arre baba, even a child knows that — on my deployment, I have made Adguard almost invisible with an extra resistance against being terminated.

@Akaneharuka

If you could give a link to the site where you are receiving popups(and if possible, some screenshots), maybe someone can help.

That isn't a problem.  Their IP, 104.198.107.72, was added to my firewall.  As long as the lists inform us of what they were forced to remove then we can manually add them to uBlock, our firewalls, or to personal lists that some users maintain.

Blocking just that IP would  not be effective  Admiral uses hundreds of domains. and each ip have a  50-100 domains .I just checked one there domains  it came with another ip

Also, you might want to check whether you have ticked (activated) the Enable Extensions and Adguard Popup Blocker options — if you're still encountering those pop-ups, do post the link to the page. ;)

I was aware of that, I blocked all their IPs that they have assigned to them, I just mentioned that one IP because it belonged to the website in question.

Now you say this but i seen you're same advice posted  by a bunch of people at different sites witch just blocking one ip is bad advice .

the goals of BarbBlock

Quote

I intend to accomplish a few things with this project.

  1. By calling the bluff of DMCA takedown notices, I hope to show that the takedown filers know their takedowns are meritless and would not stand up in court.
  2. If the extension gains significant traction, it will provide a disincentive for companies to issue takedowns in the first place. As a Chrome extension, the number of users is more quantitatively verifiable than a bunch of users independently adding domains to their blacklist.

Really uMatrix  can block out 3rd party websites on any site you visit  and these list or more or less just too protest Admiral sending a DMCA  too easylist it may become more useful if others send DMCA and it gets added too the lists.

Even with my adblocker off, there were no popups from the site. :s

So, are you speaking of ads or popups?

If it's the ads, can you show a screenshot.

Also update your filters and check again.

Post list of filters you are using.

I also prefer the way you have listed the exception filter rule but since the guy in question didn't mention the config/setup he is using(and hence, there maybe more element hiding rules while browsing the site), I chose a safe bet option.

The rule I posted is a very specific one — meaning . . . . . it will defeat https://blockadblock.com/ while continuing to block all other advertisements but still retain cross compatibility with all ad. blockers (including Adguard.)

Nah, there is no problem whatsoever with your rule.

What I was saying was, if the user in question has subscribed to more filter lists than default, there maybe more generic element hiding rule for the site, which may be caught by blockadblock.

This was a lapse on the part of user(about not mentioning his config/setup) not you.
