That's very strange :o . Have you checked your OS is virus free?

Yeap, the OS is absolutely clean. I have just now cleaned the registry residues 'if any', and re-registered IDM, the popup hasn't happened yet. Let, me check further.

Finally, it happened again, so I am calling all IDM experts here to get me off this popup...see the two pictures attached under. Here is what exactly happens with IDM here....when I begin a file download, I gets a popup stating ....'you have downloaded this much MBs....and the download stops, the system begin shutdown. I have to then cancel system shutdown, and resume stopped download again.Strange there is no such download limit specified in IDM scheduler. I am not able to locate, where it's getting this download limit, even when it's unchecked.

hmm...  @Rok.. seems to me you customize your download scheduler. I didnt touch yet the default of scheduler so... dont have the thing you posted .everything works fine even with 1GB download...  hope this helps

Main download que:    One time downloading. =  Checked, Periodic synchronization is disabled

Synchronization Que:  One Time Downloading = disabled, Periodic synchronization is checked

Download limits: Download limits = unchecked, Show warning = checked.

Try a different patch...?

Stop any active downloads in Internet Download Manager.

Export any existing download queue (Tasks>Export. Follow the prompts).

Exit IDMan.exe.

Go into Internet Download Manager's program files installation folder and delete file "IDMan.exe" & any "IDMan.exe.bak" file.

Go into registry and delete the following bold value:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DownloadManager

Re-install Internet Download Manager:

http://mirror3.internetdownloadmanager.com/commerce/2odlksMSLPFNW84503ksu99vnwud/idman628build16f.exe

Use "pawel97, ADMIN@CRACK, addhaloka" patch to patch IDMan.exe:

Site: https://www.upload.ee
Sharecode[?]: /files/7154230/6.28.12_.7z.html

If all is working well, import your previously exported download queue.

Disable (un-check) your Download Limits, as illustrated below:—

@RdH

The "Download limits" option is the same one whether it is checked under Connection or Scheduler (i.e. checking one checks the other).

Therefore, he already has it unchecked.

You're mistaken, when the Download Limits option is used under the Connection tab, it takes a global and sweeping effect on each and every download (regardless of what is set on the scheduler.)

On the other hand, when the Download Limits option is used under the Scheduler, it takes effect only and I repeat only when downloads are scheduled and not on the usual downloads.

Yeah, but apart from Firefox, the video panel doesn't work on Edge, Vivaldi or Chrome. :why::pope:

Yes, we all know it doesn't work — I think you understood the reason for that from my explanation.

Sorry. I forgot about that July 1 post. I've had a few sleeps since then.

Thanks all!

The download limit under both options # Scheduler are not checked. I have for now completely removed IDM, trashed all its registry keys manually, and using a BAT script from the forum. Hoping the system is now IDM free, so, I now have a fresh retail IDM install with this patch. Now, going to test some download, and will report here asap.
